12/04/2006: "Cats & Dogs sequel cancelled?"
Moviehole provides an update on the status of a sequel to the 2001 hit Cats & Dogs. In an interview with Film Monthly, director John Whiteshell admitted to no longer being involved in the project. Nonetheless, visual effects house Tippett Studios' supervisor, Todd LaBonte, recently disclosed, "There is a sequel, we did tests for it. It has been put on the backburner. We’ve got a different cast of cats and dogs this time. Apparently the sequel is still going to happen but it won’t be with the same voice cast now."

Well, the first movie sucked, so I have no interest in the sequel. And using a different voice cast will be a disaster.

Yeah I however Liked the 1st one. But them making a 2nd one I would quite agree would be a disaster with the same voice cast or a differ one. Now I didn't like the movie enough to buy it and I still to this day don't own it. Its kinda like the Bring it on Movies.... THEY JUST NEED TO END... Same with Like Mike 2... Its a useless sequel. Like Mike 2 is as bad as Air Buds. Next they will have Air Bud or his relatives playing Scotland games such as a Telephone Pole tossing game which I can't remember what its officially called but that is what Shaggy from Scooby Doo and Loch Ness Monster movie calls that sporting event.
Also I think May of 2007 will be the month of 3's. Here is what I mean.
Shrek the 3rd
Spider-Man 3
Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End
All good movies I plan on seeing but my pocketbook is dreading that month

Eh, I'm not disappointed. I found the first movie funny, mostly because I constantly work with animals, but otherwise, it was ok

Yeah, not expecting a great sequel here. The movie wasn't that good, but it was all right. I loved that cat though, it was the only remotely good thing about the movie. I liked Tobey Maguire's voice in it though. What will it be called? "More Cats and Dogs"?

I have to share Pixarfan's view of the first film. I don't think there are many movies which I hated more than (or even as much as)
Cats and Dogs. Just thinking about it makes me shudder.
