Shia Lebouf won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Performer in a Children's Series.

Yeah, it really sucks that it's relegated to the Disney Channel when "Lizzie" gets worldwide theatrical distribution.

I was hoping for a Wonderful World of Disney airing at least...

While I'm not too fond of Disney's other shows, I really like ES. It's pretty darn funny, suprisingly. Lookin' forward to the movie (of course this means the series is over - damn, thats idiotic they would limit each show to 65 eps).

I agree with you on both counts. Even Stevens seems rather inspired and very funny, particularly in comparison to the harmless (but generally bland) other shows, stuff like Jett Jackson and The Jersey. Not sure if they still run those, though.

Even Stevens and the Boy Meets World reruns are the best thing about Disney Channel.

well, it is a shame that the series will most likely be ending since disney doesn't realise that they have a good show out. Just like Jet Jackson they give a movie, make it seem that the next episodes that would be made would be stellar cool, and then cancel the series. I cant wait.

But more on topic, the movie looks really well. I hope it lives up to what it looks like, which it will!

I'll try to catch an episode of Even Stevens. The show seems to be really cool and popular.

I'm really looking forward to this. The show is great and I only wish they hadn't cancelled it. Hopefully they'll bring the series and movie to DVD.

If the show was cancelled already what is the point in making the movie you would think they would have done the movie earlier to help promote the series. At least it seems to be more practical.

Even though the show's production has long ended, they'll show reruns of it for years to come like all their other out-of-production series.

The movie will promote the series in reruns.

Excuse me for getting off-topic, but does anyone know about releasing the early 90s children's Disney Channel shows to DVD. I don't watch any "Playhouse Disney" because I'm WAY too old for that, but I did cherish the following:

The Little Mermaid: The Series - an impressive DTV show, very enjoyable taking place before the movie with all the same cast, plus other characters. (I haven't actually seen TLM2:RTTS, but from what I've seen of this show and heard about the sequel, this is MUCH better). I know they used to make VHS tapes of some of the episodes.

Welcome To Pooh Corner - Adored. The Book of Pooh seems to be a very similar takeoff of this as far as the show being done with puppets, but this show seemed to have much more heart, more like The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

Under The Umbrella Tree - Adored just as much as WTPC. Clever, happy series about a woman who lives in an apartment or house with a big Umbrella tree with puppet charecters Iggy (an Iguana), Gloria (a gopher), and I believe Jake ( a Blue Jay). Can't remember the woman's name at all.

Dumbo - Sortof cherished. Not sure if that was the actual name of the show, but it was about Dumbo's adventures in the circus. Ironically, I think Dumbo was the only character in the show from the 1941 classic. Puppet show like WTPC.

Under the Umbrella Tree rocked.

Dumbo's show was called "Dumbo's Circus" and it was one of my favorites. I have heard that Disney is actually got this series and others up for sale sometime in the near future. But, I am assuming that they are just going to lease them out for syndication, but not sure. I would love see them all released to DVD someday.

Holly! The adorable Holly Larocque! I loved "Under the Umbrella Tree", but I doubt Disney has the rights to release it on DVD, as the show was imported from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

One old Disney Channel show I'd personally love to see on DVD is the excellent Adventures in Wonderland series. Oh, and of course, Avonlea! Although I think the CBC has the rights to that one as well.

has anyone bought the anne of green gables dvds? i was wondering what kind of features if any they had? widescreen etc. i can't find any place with specs on those discs. i think you can also buy at that site two old disney movies on dvd....looking for miracles, and lantern hill. oh yeah, does anyone know if disney still has rights to Five Mile creek. everywhere i turned, i saw a video tape up to like volume 30 i believe, well i finally caved in and watched one. the show sort of grows on you.

in reply to adventures in wonderland, there are 3 video tapes released. it'd make a good tie in to release a best of dvd with the special edition release of alice next january. (there's no way disney'd give us a complete season). one can only hope.

Actually I have about 5 Episodes of Dumbo's Circus that my Mom recorded for me when I was little off the TV I used to love that show so much. It is so much better than the Movie DUMBO! I mean those puppets were so neat. ANother great show was Welcome To Pooh Corner I also have a few episodes of that to that my mom recorded. I love both of those shows they need to put out those 2 shows on DVD!

I LOVED Under the Umbrella Tree. My fav episodes were the ones when Holly somehow turned blue (I felt so sad for her), and when she dressed up as the tooth fairy.

I also loved Adventures in Wonderland, and, of course, dear old Avonlea.

But about the Even Stevens movie, I thought it was stupid and that Lizzie's movie was much better.

Just wondering but since the Cheeta Girls is getting a DVD realse and all is there any word and possible hope for the Even Stevens movie to be realsed I rather enjoyed it.
