None of the above - what were your criteria?
The top 4 albums currently are
High School Music Soundtrack
Carrie Underwood's Some Hearts and
Mary K. Bliges the Breakthrough
so I assume you have chosen a very narrow list of your favorites which does not really cover a lot of ground through genres.

None, but I did enjoy Fergie's album, so I picked that one.

Half of those I haven't even heard. If you plan to create a thread like this, you need more choices and genres. Not just pop/rock and the like.
I vote for Hawk Nelson's Smile, It's The End Of The World.

I would've voted for Morrissey's "Ringleader of the Tormentors" had it been a choice, but I don't mind casting a ballot for the always awesome Weird Al.

None of those. The only one I've listened to off of that list was Christina Aguilera's, and that was so-so.

I know I've said this many times, numba1, but you REALLY need to go to one of their shows! It is seriously like the funnest time you'll ever have in your life! Ugh, they deserve to be so much more famous than they are. They've been blessed with SOOO much talent, it's not even funny!

Out of the choices presented to me, my vote when to "Christina Aguilera: Back To Basics" However, I feel that "Justin Timberlake: Future Sex / LoveSounds" should have at least been on the list. It would have been a toss up for me between the two.

Personally, it'd be Dannii Minogue- The Hits and Beyond, of which has 15 of her hits, 5 new tracks, and a bonus DVD with 16 tracks or Kylie Minogue- Ultimate Kylie- Showgirl Homecoming Edition, which includes the 2-disc set, plus the DVD. Don't know if it counts, but Britney Spears- B in the Mix was extremely good too, even though it is the second cash-in in the row that she's done, behind 2004's Britney Spears- Greatest Hits- My Prerogative release to CD and DVD. I love And Then We Kiss! I'm listening to it right now! Everyone should give it a listen, it's my fave song of hers ever, behind her great I'm A Slave 4 U, and Everytime. From the list though, since none of them appeal to me, I'll go with Christina Aguilera- Back to Basics, because even though I hate her new "1940's style" phase, I love her Stripped phase. I was great, with Dirrty, Beautiful, Fighter, Can't Hold Us Down, and The Voice Within all offering greatness from her. Because of that, I can forgive her new phase, which is so crap, I hope that she goes back to pop/RnB stuff. But I'll still vote for it.

Where or where did you dig up this stuff you call music? C'mon you left off some of the best stuff out there.
Endless Wire - The Who
Small Town Girl - Kellie Pickler
Daughtry - Chris Daughtry
Stadium Arcadium - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Il Divo
American Songbook Vol. 3 - Rod Stewart
Now those are some really good CD's to choose from.
Oh yes, I forgot to include:
High School Musical - The Soundtrack

It's tough to remember everything that has come out in '06, but off the top of my head, my top albums are:
Amy Grant - Time Again Live
Christina Aguilera - Back to the Basics
Justin Timberlake - FutureSex/LoveSounds
John Mayer - Continuum
Weird Al - Straight Outta Lynwood

This list is making my eyes bleed. I just don't listen to any of this stuff. ):
So I guess I had to go for Weird Al Yankovic. What? He's funny.

Yooo, John Mayer's "Continuum" needs to be in the poll.

LOL. His album was so much more deserving of the success "FutureSex/LoveSounds" and "B'Day" got than those actual albums do. This is great quality music.
I actually can't decide on his album or Christina's "Back to Basics" to vote for. But I'll just go with Christina's.

It'll take years and years before I know what was the best of 2006, if ever.
