I was just wondering if the TV movie Mom for Christmas is ever going to be available for purchase????? It is my sister's favorite christmas movie and she has wanted to get it for years but it still isn't available for some reason. I would love to be able to get it for her for this christmas. Or does anyone know if it will be on tv anytime soon???

no thats "trading mom" or something along those line...
Mom for Christmas if i remember correctly was a movie starring Olivia Newton John, as a mannequin in a department store, that comes to life at christmastime to fall in love with the kid's father...
that movie was great...had it recorded on vhs...years ago...
i wish "the night they saved christmas" was on dvd...Christmas classic.

just found this on the "A mom for christmas" imdb boards...
Set your VCRs! As part of their annual "25 Days of Christmas" holiday marathon, ABC Family will be showing A Mom for Christmas twice next month:
Sunday, December 10, 2006 @ 10:00 AM EST
and
Saturday, December 23, 2006 @ 1:00 PM EST
checked out the ABC fam site and it's true!
SET YOUR VCR's indeed!

VCR's........what plantet do you live on.......set your DVR's, TiVO, or what have you, but get it recorded. If you have a DVD Recorder, record it directly from TV and edit the commercials as you go, or let your DVR or TiVO do it.
VHS is okay, but now is the time to get with the times, and record it to DVD.

I still use my VCR for recording onto VHS. In fact, last night I just taped "The Ultimate Christmas Present" onto VHS. I guess I have so many blank VHSs and so many that I can just tape over that I continuosly use my VCR to record stuff (and watch the DACs that I don't yet own on DVD, of course!)
Thanks

Lucky you! I rewatched an old Disney Channel taping of this movie around the holidays and it sure is a good one. We can only dream of the day when we can hear Olivia's enchanting "What If?" in full, legal Dolby 5.1.

Yeaaa.
I love that song.
It really is amazing.
But its sad that it is not on any cd or anything..since she made it especially for the movie.
