Possibility of Lorenzo on Legacy DVD?

I looked at the Disney Legacy DVD website, & I noticed that the True-Life Adventures DVD's had plenty of bonus features. Since Destino is part of this line, do you think there is a possibility of Lorenzo &/or other shorts like it to be on the DVD? Or do you think it will be saved for a Treasures DVD?

I sure hope that
Lorenzo will be on this disc! I also would like the other shorts that were planned for
Fantasia 2006. That would be a dream set.

Is it just me who wants them to save the Fantasia 2006 shorts for bonus features on the Fantasia PE?

Yes. I would like all of the shorts to come out on this new Legacy Collection so that they could all be in one place. I'm mean, let's face it, would Disney put "One By One" and "The Little Matchgirl" on the PE? Since they are already on two other DVDs, and knowing Disney. I don't think that all of the shorts would make it.

I guess I don't really know much about "Fantasia 2006 shorts"... Which are they - and are they all finished works?

There are four shorts: "One By One", "Lorenzo", "The Little Matchgirl", and "Destino"
Here's a link for "Destino". You can scroll down to find info on "The Little Matchgirl" and "Lorenzo". They even have clips!

you know, if they took the most memorable parts from teh first 2 fantasias (like "night on bald mountain", "the firebird suite" and "the sorcerer's apprentice") , and then animated some of the unproduced sequences for the original fantasia like "Claire De Lune" (which was already animated anyway) and "The Swan of Tuonela" and then add them to "Destino", "Lorenzo", "One By One", and "The Little Match Girl" and you could practically have a third Fantasia

Actually we have been speculating over at the animation history forum on what else could be on this disc given we only have a little under seven minute short. Been bandying around all of the 80s and 90s shorts including several of the above. But nothing concrete.

Well, yes - and this is actually entirely in spirit with Walt Disney's own original vision of the Fantasia concept: He figured that they could replace/add something continuously, make the Fantasia program evolve, never be quite the same.

I'd rather these be released with something I don't already have. I have the Fantasia Anthology, and would rather avoid reasons to double-dip.

Personally, I have no idea what else they could possibly add to the Fantasia PE to top the Fantasia Anthology set. It seems like they cleaned everything out for the Anthology.
The only thing they could add to the PE is a COMPLETELY RESTORED version, with the Sunflower scenes intact. Maybe they could add a new DVD exclusive short to it, one that was discarded during production, like Ride of the Valkyries or Icarus. That would be pretty cool to see, wouldn't it?

That's a pretty good list. But I think there should be a piece with Goofy in it, since Mickey was in Fantasia & Donald was in Fantasia 2000. I think the story of Icarus (which was an idea they originally had for Donald before Pomp & Circumstance was finally picked), would be a perfect vehicle for Goofy.
If you have the Fantasia Legacy DVD, go to the Pomp & Circumstance menu & go into the abandoned concepts area & choose Icarus Duck. When you watch Icarus Duck, replace Donald & Daisy with Goofy & Clarabelle Cow. What do you think?

Now a flying Goofy could be pretty funny!

I did think that it was kinda weird in that sequence when the sun like laser beamed Donald with it's eyes, but that's just IMO. Anyway, I just might revise that list.

They could print and publish that sketchbook that is presented somewhere on the Fantasia Anthology set. That would be something!
