Mulan Special Edition

I would enjoy seeing a special 2-disc DVD set of Mulan. Both the "Limited Issue" and "Gold Collection" editions are bare-bones!! I remember reading back in 1998, that there was an alternative ending and originally Mulan didn't feature as many dragons. Although Roy E. Disney insisted on it.

Have never seen it, but my daughter did over the weekend at G'ma and Pop-Pop's house and has been asking for it non0stop since. Guess it's now on my wish list, too.

hey, i've got a G'ma too!! no Pop-Pop though...

anyhooo... i would enjoy a 2-disc set of Mulan too. I actually have 2 copies of Mulan now, but I would definitely upgrade. Most of the time, if the supplemental features are decent, and not *fluff*, I gain an added appreciation for the film.

Gotta tell ya, it IS cute...especially when my daughter says it.
She is the one that stared calling them Grandma and Pop-Pop. Not sure how or why it started but I damn sure wasn't about to try and correct her. In keeping with her Italian heritage she calls my parents Grandma Lori (she pronounces it "Rori") and Papa Don :D

Well, there are many other Disney film that I would rather see on Special Edition than Mulan. A few examples: The rescuers, Make Mine Music, and The Fox and the Hound.

I just ordered the Gold Collection edition of Mulan...through my local Borders store. It's been two weeks, but as it's out of print (I think; or at least very hard to find), it'll take a little while longer, I'm sure...

I've never seen it, but want to. I've really loved Disney Orlando's features: Lilo & Stitch and Brother Bear, so I'm eager to see this one, their first. And I think Chris Sanders (who co-directed Lilo) was involved in that one (in Lilo, in Nani's room, you can glimpse the Mulan poster on the wall).

I don't so much mind how many extras it has. Extras are nice, and if it has some nice ones, that's great, but I get it for the movie, to watch (again and again; LOL), and I'm just glad to have a chance to own it, on DVD, no less...though I will spring for the 2-Disc of Lilo & Stitch for the extras and everything, as it's my favorite.
