Hey guys,
I'm not taking credit for this one...
but I read on Wikipedia that the King and Duke from Cinderella show up in the little mermaid...and it's true. I have the still, but can't upload it for some reason.
Look when the animals are disrupting vanessa and Eric's wedding, the show where Max the dog breaks his leash and runs away from Grimsby. They are really there!!![/img]

I just step paused through that scene, and your right they are there!
Their clothing is a different colour (and so is the Dukes hair) but it's still pretty cool and I never noticed it before

Could someone capable of taking screen shots please post an image of the scene? How exciting that people are still finding hidden things in Disney films that have been around for 16 years, especially one of the most beloved of them all.
weird

Well, whaddaya know? There they are! I like their 'new' colored clothing, but red hair and the Duke don't mix...actually it's kinda cool!

I'll have to look for that the next time I watch it. Also, in the commentary, it's mentioned that Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy are in the scene in the beginning where there is a concert that Ariel's sisters are singing at. I saw Goofy but didn't see the others. I'd love for someone to post some caps, highlighting the special cameos.

I would but I don't know how. And yes I did see Mickey, Donald, and Goofy. If you pause your DVD or VHS (whichever you own, I have the PE DVD), you can see some merkids (mermaid kids? is that right??) sporting Mickey hats, dolls, and balloons.

I think theres another cameo, not sure but anyways. In the scene where Eric is talking to Grimsby in the dining area, before Ariel walks in, theres a painting of a couple on the wall. I always thought they resembled Aurora and Prince Phillip.

Hey guys,
First of all, thanks to xxhplinkxx for posting the pic. I tried, but couldn't. As for the painting resembling Aurora en Philip....are we talking about the one inbetween two paintings with ships on them? Behind where Grimsby sits? i'm not sure which painting we are talking about. Or what shot in the film for that matter... help.

No kidding!! Since I was a child I thought it was them, but I always thought my eyes were tricking me into thinking something, and over the years I forgot about it. Now that you mentioned that, I remembered and I was right!!
