So i'm going to the game tomorrow. My seats are in front row of the second level in the corner of the endzone. i'm pretty excited. i would be more excited if the team wasn't 4-4. they should be at least 6-2. the losses to minnesota and dallas were inexcusable. i can understand the other two. here is what i think the team needs to do to finish the season off strong and go to the playoffs.
1 - the Dline needs to play well, especially mike rucker. other than peppers, no one is pressuring the QB and we are having a difficult time stopping the run.
2 - Run strong - foster isnt doing this. he needs to hit the gaps hard. having d. williams back will allow for him to run stronger.
3 - tighten up in the secondary and make tackles - can't give up so much YAC.
4 - 3rd down conversions - we actually need to convert every once in a while to keep the D off the field. most of this lies on the shoulders of jake delhomme.
5 - finish teams off - we had dallas 14-0 and ended up losing 35-14. pathetic.

I voted for "finish the game strong" just for the heck of it. My first option, though, would be to finish off the opposing team with a roundhouse kick, Norris-style.

Sounds like the first and only option, IMHO. But I don't think that's the team (or sport) in question...

If that wasn't part of his forum name, one would assume it was an insult!
Don't know much about football, but the best advice I can give is root for the winning team.

I chose to finish the game strong. This seems to encompass everything else, and finishing off your opponent is always important.

I don't know this team but I picked "Finish games strong".

well, i just got back from the panthers game, and it was awesome. my buddy and i had great seats and the tailgating was great. So, why did the panthers win tonight? Well, I would have to say it was a combination of 3rd down conversion (6-14, well above season average), a stout secondary (2 interceptions), and primarily finishing the game strong. the panthers score 24 unanswered points to win the game.
next week: home vs. St. Louis.
in other news, for those of you who can't really identify with the Carolina Panthers, they are like the Disney equivalent of Simba from the Lion King. Highly anticipated, then they disappeared, then had some success while having to "find themselves," then more disappointment, then in the case of Simba, success after a struggle. So if my analogy is correct, the Panthers should make it to the super bowl as a 5 or 6 seed and beat the colts of patriots.
- I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all...

I would say it was option #2 (Run Strong) that accounted for the Panthers' 15-0 win over St. Louis yesterday. What say you, Turd?
