It is still being labeled as the 46th classic in the Classics insert in TLM DVD when will it be dropped?

This is a very touchy subject isn't it!!! I've spoken to Disney UK who INSIST that "The Wild" is indeed the 46th Disney animated classic. However the UK seems to me to be the only place which is saying so! Is it a classic or not? I think the choice is yours class it or not but do enjoy it, it's really rather good. 8)

Well, the UK is one of the few places to still number the films. So I guess what the UK says, goes (in the UK at least)

It's named the 46th classic in Norway, and probably the rest of Scandinavia aslo...

In the Netherlands, the DVD aren't numbered. But The Wild is labeled as "Walt Disney Pictures Presents", not as "Walt Disney Classics".

Is "Valiant" considered a Classic, too? It would only make sense for "The Wild" to be if "Valiant" is. I don't think either should be, since Disney didn't really make them.

nope, I don't even think there was mention of Disney on the UK Valiant release

That's right. I have a horrible memory- I think 2099net told me that about a week ago. That's so weird...it's weird that "The Wild" is Disney (even though Disney didn't really make it) and "Valiant" isn't. And weird that it's considered a classic. I have yet to see it, but when Disney Movie Club has a great deal, I might buy it then. I like animals...
