Does anyone remember this video? I do. You know how I remember? Because I still have it, that's how. Anyway, does anyone remember this video besides me? And can anyone tell me when precisely it was released?

Wasn't this a free video that came with Dumbo or Winnie the Pooh in like 1985 or 86? I think that's when I got it (I was 4 or 5 then).
I also thought TRON was part of the video. I don't have the tape here (it's in my parents' basement) so I can't check.
In any case, I used to love this tape.

For us, it was a two tape set we purchased in 84 with Dtv's Golden Oldies

Ah, it starts with "go to the door and look out for Mambi" When Jack (?) and Dorthy are assembling the gump. Mambi comes, they push the gump out the window and fall, mambi laughs, our heroes almost crash to their doom while they teach the gump to flap his wings, and then he does! they are off, and Mambi is mad. I remember this sement because it then cuts to the basketball game from the Absent Minded Professor.

You're right, it is on the tape. I forgot to include that. Thanks. I just put that in. Thanks for reminding me. Sometimes I forget.

No, this cut wasn't from Oz to Professor. The cut to Professor was much earlier in the tape from Tron. The cut from Oz was to Bedknobs and Broomsticks, in which King Leonidas, having discovered that the humans have swiped his Star of Astoroth, goes after them in a rage. But they chant the spell that turns living creatures into rabbits. But in this case, it's rather hasty, as the lion, when transformed, still has his old tail.

Can't you ask your parents to borrow it? Or did you try that already?

Does anyone know when the tape was specifically released? All I know was that it was late 1985.

Been rummaging through the basement for three days trying to find this tape. I now have it in my grubby little hand.

It is in a full size white clamshell box. It has a blue cover with Mickey in his black tuxedo simulating shuffling cards which have various pictures across the top of the tape including scenes from "Return to Oz", "Bedknobs and Broomsticks", and "Mickey's Trailer". In the upper left corner it has big yellow letters against a green background that say NEW!!! Then centered starting at the very top and going down the middle it says "The Walt Disney Comedy and Magic Revue". It has a 1985 release date, but no specific month.

(A little fime goes by)

Okay, now I have watched it and it has everything that has been posted here. It is 31 minutes 07 seconds long. And my tape is like brand new. I am going to have to copy this to DVD+RW in the next couple of hours before I lose track of this tape.

Hope that helps.

My local library lets you check out VHSs/DVDs, and I remember renting the VHS 7 or 8 years back. I thought it was lame back then because I was only familiar with the DACs! (I was like 6 or 7 at the time). :)

Well, they're in Missouri and I'm in New York. Plus, I don't have a VCR here :(
I'm definitely going to watch it when I go back sometime... (or on Youtube if someone puts it up ;) )

A DVD release of this movie is nice. However, I also have the video. Hence, the reason why I created the thread, to see if anyone else remembered. But a DVD+R release would be nice, too.
