That's great news but some will like it while others won't. I'll say it's great but it's also distroying the classics I hope they'll have a chose of one with the new parts and one without the new part. But it's great news

The only thing they should edit is that scene where the image appears in B and W, you know, during the Tea Party scene. Which I'm still not sure was meant to be in the film...

I think that this was discussed in another thread already, but I don't believe that the scene will be in the movie. I think it is just an unfinished scene cut from the original release that will be included as an extra.

No Terry according to the Trailer it's going to be added into the movie
They don't have a release date, it just says Coming 2004

Hmmm, that's interesting. Hopefully they will use seamless branching, if not, then I guess there is a good reason to keep your Gold Collection versions guys!
New song

There is probably a philosophy behind adding new songs and scenes...I mean, who already has the Gold Collection edition of Alice on dvd? I think their philosophy is that promoting 'an all new song' will get people to put up the money to rebuy this movie on dvd. Just a thought.
I am another one of those people who enjoy new songs and scenes on Disney dvds. I do agree it is pleasant when they have the original cut included on the dvd.
What will worry me is if the new animation and new voice acting will flow with the original. Especially since Alice was not colored by computers...and most likely this new song will be. This is why some of these classics before Rescuers Down Under shouldn't be touched...they were all colored by hand. Now, there is the rumor that Little Mermaid is being digitalized...but I doubt they will do all classics like this.
I wonder if the box art for Alice will change to promote the new song instead of the Interactive Tea Party.

I think it's always been a new song and yet, they're choosing to play up the Virtual Wonderland Party more. Maybe that will change. We've already discussed this a little bit in the other Alice thread, as Maerj noted.

Poca and Lilo have definitely been moved back to later in the year. Lilo looks like it will be happening May, though.

I'm telling myself not to make a big deal out of it, and it will just go away, like a bad dream.
But at least we get the "If I Never Knew You" sequence!

I'm not interested in Pocahontas or Lilo & stitch, I'm only interested in the new releases of Alice in Wonderland and Mary Poppins... and of course The Rescuers...

MMBoy-The trailer actually said the song would be in the film itself? This makes my eyebrows raise too high to believe. Adding new footage to a 90's film is one thing, but adding something to a film over 50 years old that Walt himself was a part of is too much. If "I'm Odd" already has rough animation and music done, then MAYBE I won't protest so much, but if they're doing animation and/or music from scratch, then I'm seriously going to complain to Disney about this.

I hope it's just an extra.
But if "I'm Odd" is incorporated into the film, I'd hope they'd put in at least two versions -- the theathrical version and the "new song" version.
(BTW, think Eisner's been visiting George Lucas a few too many times?)
