Is customer service usually this bad?

I just joined DMC in Sept. I received a notice Oct 12 that my original order had been shipped. When nothing had arrived by Oct 25th I called to see what happened. The cast member said she would reship the order, this time with a signature confirmation of delivery. Still nothing came. I called again today and found out that the reorder had never been placed. The new cast member said she would reorder today and to expect it in the standard 7-10 days. I had to bring up the fact that they had made the error and shouldn't I be entitled to expedited shipping. She said she'd see what she could do.

On a second issue, I spoke to two separate castmembers on the 18th, both said Mickey Mouse in Living Color Vol 1 was in stock. But when it arrived I got volume 2. Another phone call to DMC and now they say it's out of stock and was out of stock and I should never have been told it was available.

I'm just curious if this is the type of service I should expect and cancel my membership by returning my original order--if it ever arrives. :?:

I haven't even gotten my movies yet, but I did get the catalog I ordered...I've been on the phone with probably 6 or 7 different cast members, and I emailed a few times, and everyone I've encountered has been amazingly nice. That stinks that you're having problems... :(

I wouldn't know. They won't even let me join.

Sometimes it can be like pulling teeth with DMC as sometimes communication gets lost between the call center (when you order something) and the warehouse (where they ship stuff out), however 90% of the time they are very nice and willing to help. Out of the 5 or so different orders I’ve placed with them I have only had problems with one. If you have problems just ask to talk to a supervisor, they can always usually fix the problem asap.

So much for expediting my order. I called on 10/30 and still have not received notice of my order. I called again tonight and asked to speak to a superviser. The castmember refused to transfer me and just kept repeating the company mantra--"It takes a few days to process and the 7-10 business days." She said they couldn't do expedited shipping because the replacement order has to go out exactly like the original order which was media mail. These movies were supposed to be gifts. I already missed my mom's birthday and now I will miss my son's this Sunday.
