I have a child and I have heard about some of Disney's covers being banned. I was wondering what movies were banned, and why. Should I have these movies in my home, or has this been taken care of? I'm a new mom and young, so I'll take all of the help I can get.

only controversal cover i've heard of is the diamond edition VHS of The Little Mermaid where one of the towers of Triton's castle resemble a penis. I'm not sure about any others.

Cant say that it does, but why would so many people make a big deal over something as un noticeable as that? Thats kinda dumb, I was expecting something serious!

after relooking at the photos it does resemble a penis, but a person who doesnt know any better (like me) would never have noticed, and i still dont see it as areally big deal.

they shouldn't have been looking for something like that on a movie poster in the first place

Who has time to sit around and look for things like that, and who would want to? I can think of better things to do with my time.

One shouldn't really expect anything "serious" in that sense on the covers of Disney's "family" titles. Those who "see" it and scream out are those who have "dirty minds" themselves, but too little humour and critical distance.

I'm just glad that I don't have to worry about looking over a cover of a family movie before my kid grabs it.

To get a reason to worry about such things, I guess you'd have to go to some entirely different video section.

That's an intriguing interpretation - and possibly the first interesting addition to that debate in a long time.

LOL! That was funny.
That is honestly a bit odd to me that someone actually sat there and made sure one of the towers looked like a penis. Not only that, but someone stared at the cover long enough to realize what it "was" (not saying that it's actually a penis).

Well, I don't think King Triton would have let them build a tower that looks like something only humans have, since he hates humans. If the tower had been built before Triton became king, he probably would have destroyed it with his trident and had a new one built.

maybe triton's resentment towards human has a history to it.maybe he once sang part of ur world to a human girl(carlotta) in his own grotto before his mother destroys everything he owns and broke up with the human girl.he also has a pelican friend named scooch.

I bet kids will have nightmares after hearing him sing that song.
I bet Neptune was a pervert and installed that tower in the castle. triton as much as he wanted to get rid of the tower, couldn't because he can't ruin anything the Great Neptune has created. He is a god after all.
