Recess: First Day Of School
Pokemon: Lucario And The Mystery Of Mew

Coming Soon
Cinderella III
The Fox And The Hound 2: Friends Forever

In the unknown section, I would say that it is not likely you will see sequels to that many Pixar films in the near future. They like to be original and create new things with the exception of the Toy Story series for which there are many stroy possibilities for further sequels. I'd say Monster's Inc. will probably be left alone and they cancelled the sequel to A Bug's Life years ago. Also, it is confirmed that there will be other DAC's coming that weren't on the list. Here is the schedule for the next few years:
Meet the Robinsons - March 30, 2007
American Dog - summer 2008
Rapunzel - June 2009
The Frog Princess - 20??
Joe Jump - 20?? (heavily rumored, not yet confirmed)

Due to the large number of titles in the unknown section, it's safe to say most of these will never ever see the light of day. Disney can't have that many productions goin on at once and they are now cutting back in the animation department (meaning lay-offs after the completion of Meet the Robinsons).

Thanks Yamiiguy. I'm updating the list. I'm not a Pokemon fan and only heard that Disney would not distribute "Only Yesterday" in the U.S. even thought they own the rights because of thematic issues. I've seen the film and didn't think conversations about periods were bad enough to get it not-released. By the way, I know it wasn't distributed by Disney in Japan, but was it in the UK?

All of the Ghibli releases in the UK are now released by Optimum Home Entertainment. However it appears that there is a link somehow between Optimum and BVHE.

Oh and Gnomeo and Juliet still lives! It has passed over to the Miramax arm however.

Gen13 was made, but was never released. A time coded screener has shown up in various places, though. The movie was so horrible that I couldn't sit through more than a few minutes of it. Read the comic instead...

The Pokemon movies are no longer distributed by Buena Vista. They are distributed by VIZ

oh! if you check out wikipedia, you will see that Peter Pan 3, really is Peter Pan 3, not another name for Tinkerbell. It's all about Moira, Janes daughter. and Tinkerbell is now just called Tinkerbell, and it's a different franchise.

Weird. I know I read in a magazine that Elton John (who had written songs for Gnomeo and Juliet) was very upset with Disney for cancelling his film. If it's being destributed by Miramax, is it being sub-outleted to another animation studio like "The Wild" was? Because if it is still WDFA, then that would be weird.

Also weird. Was it animated by Disney? Or was a it a foreign movie dubbed? I've never heard of it. And if they poured money into a project, it would be stuid of them not to release it and get some money back rather than no money back.

As yamiiguy pointed out, anybody can edit or creat a page on wikipedia and Disney has no Peter Pan sequels in the works other than the 4 Tinkerbell movies, and the move is being advertised as "The Tinkerbell Movie," but it's other working title is "Tinker Bell and the Ring of Belief."

by Disney's Divinity
Tales From Earthsea (copyright issues delaying release until 2009)
I thought this was being made by Studio Ghibli? Unless that's what it's referring to anyway (considering Disney dubs and distributes their movies).

it was already made (by Ghibli) and already released in Japan. ANd yes Disney does the dubs and distribute the ghibli films in america

and for Goofystitch...

And the "Lady in th Lake" is not confused with Shyamalan's Lady in the Water. "Lady in the Lake" was supposed to be based on a european folk tale of sorts and was considered as aniamted feature.

Fraidy Cat was cancelled and was the reason that John Musker and Ron Clements left Disney before coming back to work on Frog Princess.

and proposal for an Animated "Snow Queen" came before it was even thought of as a stage musical for Tokyo Disney (which was also eventually cancelled). You can view some concept art for the proposed movie in the unnoficial disney animation archives website.

Gen13 was made but not released in the US. it ended up being a DTV release abroad.

Actually, from what I understand, it's the other way around.

Ron and John both created a draft for "Fraidy Cat" and the project actually got more possitive feedback from the staff than The Little Mermaid or Aladdin did when being in production. Unfortunately, "Fraidy Cat" got shelved because it was considered "too dark for kids" so both left Disney.
