I was at Costco this morning picking up the Looney Toon Collection and my eyes about poped out of my head when I saw a BOX SET of all 7 Treasures for 125$. I was frusturated because I paid 25$ for each of them, but I guess it is neat for more people to enjoy. They DO NOT include the tins though, just the double alpha case. I thought some of you would like to know, since you might not have this AWESOME COLLECTION.

That's good for those who missed out. I'm regretting opening the tins though, oh well, I just might have to pick up that set and leave it in the packaging.Thanx for the info!

Wow, that is a surprise.
I didnt' know that they would still have them. Specially w/out the tin box.
If you wanna get the cartoons and you missed the collection, I guess this is your choice. One of the few.

Can't wait for the ones commin in december, though!

are you sure on this?

This has not been talked about any other place on the net. Disney is not selling it on their website and Costco does not list it on their website.

Could this be something that Costco just made up from ruined tins?

Yes I am sure because I held the box set in my hand, I also don't think costco would have the right to do something like that and there would have to be alot of damaged tins because in the Costco I was at, they had about 50 box sets. Also, the 7 movies had their own cardbord case that that they all slid into, like Indiana jones, and It was made by disney. It looked pretty nice too.

Oopps .... i meant , Costco would not have the right to re-package the treasures.

can this be true? why are they doing this when they can sell them for much more on ebay?

are all 7 treasures sets in one box then? or in seven small separate boxes? too bad they don't have the tins.

i think i'll call my costco and see if they have any in stock.

If by "they" you are referring to Costco, well, how can they sell them on eBay?

Since these are not in Tins a part of the "collectible" element is gone and the premiums they demand on eBay (and elsewhere) will decrease. it's pretty sad how much the numbered Tins actually play a part in the overall $$ value of these collections.

I looked on Costco's website and the DVDs are not listed (yet). I'm really wishing I had a Costco in my area, though. Ordering things online is not my preferred method of purchase.

Goof ball, you better not be playing a Halloween prank on us. If that is the case, I'm sure I won't be the only person on this forum lined up to teach you a lesson. :P

Does anyone have any new information on this? I really want to know how this re-release is possible and how far spread this release is going to go (Is it only Costco or will other chains be picking them up as well?). :?

they came packaged in actual cardboard boxsets or just grouped together through Costco? Can you describe how the boxes looked?

This is an interesting development, for sure. But without the tins, I can see how this could work.

They were the exact same treasures that we already have had a chance to buy the last two years with the exception of the metal tins. They were the same individual double alpha cases that you can find inside the treaure tins. They were all standing side by side held together by a carboard outside case. other examples of dvd sets with the outside boxes are indiana jones, spounge bob:season one, or the star trek movie collection. On the outside of the treasures box was the disney and treasure logos and pictures of all the sets on the back, nothing too fancy.

Hmm....that's good if they do have those. Which I heard a rumor some time ago they were going to release those, but I didn't think to much of it. I am not sure if they are the same exact dvd though. I head they aren't. But who knows. I wonder if this is going to make the treasures tins with more or less?? Hmmm
