Hi, I just wanted to ask you guys if you know of a way, or place in LA to take my dvd to get resurfaced and get all scratches removed? It's just that my snow white dvd cannot be read almost at the end. I cleaned it with a dvd cleaner but no use. I would really appreciate anyone's help.

Sorry I can't answer your question, but I am curious. How many times did you watch it?

James :)

P.S. A good subject for a new thread. Who has watched which DVD(s) the most times. LOL!

Go here. It's the first link under "common problems."

It costs $6.95 to replace any damaged Disney DVD using their replacement policy. If it's severely damaged, it might be impossible to fix. Call (800) 723-4763.

Goodluck! :)

My first post on UD! LOL. I got my Snow White DVD about a year ago (found it used at GameStop, lol I know!), and I just noticed, about near the end of Heigh Ho, it freezes, then resumes after a couple seconds. I don't think I will get it replaced, but I might. My Beauty and the Beast DVD does that too.Huh.

If it's happening with more than one disc, could it be your player that's at fault. Are the discs surfaces visibly scratched? It doesn't matter how many times they've been played, that shouldn't affect the disc, it's only going to be physical damage caused by mishandling of the discs, or, a problem with the player (has it been knocked, which could have affected the lens in your player?)

No I have multiple DVD players in the house and they both freeze on the same spot in all players (and the players are all different brands).

Why not just pay $6.95 to get a new one rather than waiting until 2008 or 2009?

You think it could be replaced? I mean it's out of print, do they actually have some extras? Cause both dvd's skip.

Yeah I know, because when I reported my BatB DVD, they asked like "How long have you had this?" "Is it scratched"...etc. I don't honestly think they would replace it...it's been out of print for 4 years now.
