That means we've got a brand new section covering Halloween and Christmas in the park, with the promise of more sections to come!

NICE JOB LOOMIS...I Just returned from a trip to Disneyland - Walt Disney world ..exhausting but fun....I have to tell you that the temptation to do HK Disneyland instead was ever present...(financially and flying time) 20 + hours from Florida to Adelaide!! ouch!
However I have decided that the next Disney trip in a few years will be H K. Disneyland. So rest assured I will be visiting " H.K disneyland source" for my FIX during that time!!

Nice to see H.K. D getting into the Halloween makeover as well.

Thanks, Mr arrow. Hope to see some of those photos!

I'm planning the dual-park madness in the US for 2008, if we save enough money by then, and the one thing I'm NOT looking forward to is the flight.

Hong Kong to Sydney is a breeze at 9 hours, especially when you have video on demand in your seatback. :) I can highly recommend going to the park. If you have been to at least two other Magic Kingdoms, the park is certainly smaller and has less to do, but it is at least a full day's worth of entertainment and it is a BEAUTIFUL park. The mountains in the background are quite surreal in their own way. It is also quite reasonable to stay at the HKDL Hotels as well, and the Hollywood Hotel is one of Disney's best kept secrets I believe.

Perhaps by the time you get there, it will have expanded slightly too.

I made the mistake of NOT staying on WDW property..With a little digging around there are deals to be found on Disney World resort hotels..That way you can avoid the stress of being too reliant on hotel shuttles to get into and out of the property..
I know when I go to H.K disneyland Ill try and book into the Holllywood hotel. The theming of Disney owned hotels makes the experience just that little bit more 'magical' I think.
I wish I had more time to investigate some of the Disney world resort hotels. Animal kingdom lodge and Polynesian are two of my favorites.

Indeed, I'm thinking of splitting my stay between the two hotels. Actually, it seems to be a Contemporary/AKL split for the moment. I really want to stay in the 'hotel with the monorail through the lobby'. :) Call me a nutter. However, the Poly has its own history, and seems like a nice place to stay. Would you recommend it for convenience to MK/EPCOT. I'd largely consider it for the access to the Monorail, although I think the Contemporary is still my first preference at this stage.

Also wanted to say we are having a few server issues with HKDL Source at the moment, but hopefully it will all be hunky dory soon.

We've stuck up a bit of a report about last night's surprise Tree Lighting, which The Source's source tells us was a bit of a media frenzy.

The report can be found here:

Our correspondent also informed us that a query about the cranes in Fantasyland will be a "new ride that we will love if we like Winnie the Pooh". Cryptic, yes, but a sign of things to come. Dark ride, perhaps?

They also confirmed there would be no Christmas Parade, but a tree lighting and Santa's sleigh every night.

Finally, Disney have also updated the official site with a Christmas page:
