Indian Cuisine Question

I recall that we had a question about Ethnic Cuisine at one point... this one is a bit more specific. 2099net, you may be able to help as I know there are a lot of Indian restaurants in Britain.
I enjoy Indian cuisine and would like to eat at an Indian restaurant... problem is my girlfriend hates CURRY! She tried some of my curry chicken and didn't enjoy it at all. Is there any dishes that they serve that doesn't have curry in it? She really isn't into any of the overly spicey stuff either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've had a few non-curry dishes.
The thing I remember most is that alot of the fare I saw and tried seemed "soupy".
Thai food on the otherhand ....

Can you tell me what the non-curry dishes were? That's the thing with this... I need to know what she could choose from the menu that won't gross her out with an abundance of curry.
I love Thai food too, all the Thai stuff I had so far at restaurants has been super spicy and made me sweat profusely! Any non-curry or non super spicy Thai suggestions would be good as well. Thanks!

I'll have to defer to others on the exact dishes. I've only had Indian cuisine twice and the second time it was a buffet, so I honestly have little recollection of what the hell it was called.
As for non-spice Thai, most places spice the food to your taste. At my favorite hangout, you order the dish, say Padd Thai, and then ask for a spice level of 0-5 ... 5 being the hottest. I always get a "Spicy 5" (on occassion I'll even order Thai Hot) but have been with people that have asked for little or no spice at all. It should be very easy for any place to do that. As for good dishes, Padd Thai is an excellent dish (rice noodles with or without meat) to start out with.
