Fantastic episode, funny as always, and some very sweet moments.
The mystery of Amanda's dad has probably been solved, or not, and Betty is as sweet as always.
Mark and Wilhelmina were hyterical and their new plan is so deliciously evil.
I can't wait for more.

I wish there were more than two episodes left! I know with everything they are leading up to this is going to end on a cliff hanger and I'm going to lose my mind waiting for the writers strike to end!

Does anyone have the episode just shown? I taped it but my DVR was messing up so my dad got a new one and hooked that up so I don't have that, or the rest of season 2 of both UB and Heroes. So if anyone could help me locate it, thanks.

What a fantastic episode!! One of the best ever!!
Completely crazy, so many new story-lines, Henry gone (for how long?), Gio back, Betty intoxicated (hilarious!), Claire Meade at court.
Oh and Wilhelmina finally getting her wish. I wonder how that will turn out.
Mark and Amanda were as funny as they always are and Amanda had some very nice moments.
I can't wait for next week's episode, which sadly will be the last one :(

Does anyone know of any DVD set for Season 2? Since I just got my DVR replaced, all of the episodes (except for yesterday's) is lost. I would expect it to be around the same time as the first seasons release, in August. However, with the short, only 13 episodes, season, I would also think that we would be getting it sooner. I'm so sad that this season is ending so quickly. I love "Ugly Betty" and it's one of my favorite television shows (along with "Heroes" who has, too, gotten a shortened 2nd season).

It all depends on when the strike ends. If it is resolved within the next 2-3 weeks there might be new episodes produced before the shows go on hiatus during summer.
if not, then I think the DVD sets might be available sooner, probably like May/June.

Did anyone hear about the Valentine's Day musical episode of Ugly Betty? I think it was postponed due to the Writer's Strike, and now as February draws closer and closer, I fear that it's been canceled completely. :(

Still, this season is much better than the first, IMO. A lot more comedy, just the vibe from the show is wonderful. But season one is still untouchable. lol

My mother told me yesterday that the writers strike has practically ended. Here is an article saying that it could end by or before Groundhogs Day.

I do hope the strike is over soon and the AMPTP and the WGA return to the bargaining table.
The deal with the director's goes into th right direction and has many points that the writers asked for too, so it might really be over in the next two weeks.
But even after the writer's return to work the industry will need at least one month to get back to normal and produce new episodes of TV shows.

Simply cannot wait for this DVD set. I completely forget what had happened in the previous episodes and couldn't be happier that this season is being released Sept. 9.

Well, noone can be surprised, considering everything ABC's done to kill it.

But I'll miss the show once it's gone. :( Hope they can tie it up well-enough.

NOOOOOOO!

This is actually one of the shows that I keep up with on a regular basis. I truely love this show. I, too, hope that they can wrap it up nicely. This season was going so well, too. It's better than last season, for sure. This makes me quite sad. I still need to purchase last seasons set. Hopefully Heroes doesn't get cancelled as well. That and Ugly Betty were my two shows for 2006, and now Betty's cancelled. Pushing Daisies was my 2007 show and it's gone as well. I really think that ABC messed this up because Ugly Betty was doing really well before they moved it to Fridays and then Wednesdays. :( :( :( :(

It's a petition to save the show!

There are too many storylines that need to get closure, but there isn't any time enough..

Fey Summers: still alive?
Connor & Willie: will it work?
Justin: Will he come out?
Betty: Will she find love?
Daniel: Will he find love?
What will happen with the son of Claire who's adopted?
Will Alexis return?
And Christina?
What will happen with Amanda & Marc?

Too many questions for only 8 episodes left :(

They should make a fifth season with 14 episodes and a great season finale (the 100th episode, because there will be only 20 episodes in season 4) and that should be it. It would be amazing.

So sign the petition! Maybe it will help..

Maybe, but most likely not. If you want to get something done, don't just sign an internet petition, it's one of the easiest things in the world to ignore.

Anyhow, ABC seems pretty set in their ways over this, given how they've treated the show this past season.

It's true.

I think if they would have let it play on the day from season 1-3, it would have reached better numbers..

Friday killed it :(

I'm getting a Kyle flashback. People needlessly speculated the end, and a couple years later, it came.

Anyone watched the season finale of Ugly Betty last night?

I watched it and it was really good. Specially at the beginning when they are at Amanda's dog funeral then everyone ran. The other funny part is when Betty open her refrigerator where she sees Amanda's dead dog.

For Ugly Betty's fans there in talks about making a movie. It will be really cool what happen next to the characters.
