I don't know if all of these would neccessarily be classified as adventure, but most of them appeal more to the male viewers, not to say that they are enjoyed by only boys. I think Mulan would also fit in this catagory but could not fit it in the poll. Feel free to tell me a favorite of yours that does not appear on the list, like Mulan for instance, which happens to be one of my favorites. I my self like the first three choices, but would have to pick Aladdin or Treasure Planet.
I just think Treasure Planet is a great coming of age story. As a teenage guy myself, I really related to it... and it had amazing graphics and animtion. (Loved the B.E.N. charater. Halarious!!)

I too vote for Aladdin. Tarzan would be a close second.
I don't know if I necessarily think of Aladdin as an adventure, but it's an awesome film. Funny, moving, everything a great film should be.
I revisited Tarzan last week, and that's also a beautiful movie. The score and Phil Collins songs rock, and the animation is breathtaking. I think that is truly, along with Lion King and Aladdin, a pinnacle of '90s animation.

Although i love Aladdin to death, its not as adventurish as it could be. On the other hand, Tarzan screams adventure IMHO and thats why i picked it.

Aladdin.
Without a doubt.
My cursor was hovering over Peter Pan for a while (which is one of my all time favourite stories, Disney or otherwise), but Aladdin just wins out in the end for sheer fun, music and Robin Williams

I'd have to vote for Tarzan out of this list, with Peter Pan close 2nd.
Unfortunately, I haven't seen Aladdin yet

so I can't tell you were that one would fall.
it better hurry up and come out!

What the??
Adventure films....Aladdin? Not really an adventure. Peter Pan? Very close to adventure for a movie that is commonly used as a play, but again...too many songs. Treasure Planet? Ok, adventure. Tarzan? No, it has a larger drama element to it.
Atlantis? THAT IS ADVENTURE TO IT'S PUREST! No songs, not much romance, lots of fighting, terrible movie, perfect for an adventure fan! I think this should have been included instead of some of the aforementioned.

Argh, these are four of my favorite Disney movies, how can I be expected to pick just one of them? lol.
Seriously, I don't think I can pick one. My first instinct is "Aladdin" because it's been a favorite of mine for a long time, but then "Tarzan", "Treasure Planet", and "Peter Pan" are all wonderful, wonderful films as well. Much too difficult to choose.

I have to agree with you on this one... Except when you say that Atlantis is a terrible movie, which I don't think it is.
The other movie that deserved to be on that list is "The Rescuers Down Under". That one was the first real adventure movie produced by the Disney studios (animation wise, of course).

No, it's not a bad movie. I just compare it to other movies of the time and I didn't think it could compete. It's sort of mediocre.

Atlantis? THAT IS ADVENTURE TO IT'S PUREST!
Aladdin - umm....finding a magical lamp and going on a series of...well, adventures to ultimately defeat evil with the help of a genie. If you were a peasant boy, I'd say that the events of the film would be an adventure!
Peter Pan - children whisked away to a magical place called Neverland and fighting the evil Captain Hook. Yeah, happened to me last week.
Tarzan - prim and proper English people in the jungle is ALWAYS an adventure. Haven't you seen old movies?
I think any story that takes a character out of their natural habitat and places them in a position of peril or some kind of challenge makes for an adventure story. Hell, a movie about going down to the shops could be an adventure, especially if there were ninjas, or they didn't have those nice cookies you always buy.
As for favourite, I should point out that I WOULD have voted for Atlantis had it been on offer, as it is my favourite adventure story. Prince Ali is right to a certain extent - there are more appropriate adventure stories that should be on there. I simply chose Aladdin because it was my personal fave of the ones on offer.
So, I do take Ali's point, but I have to disagree - simply because there are more songs than explosions, it doesn't mean it isn't "adventure".

That's one thing I didn't like about Atlantis, NO SONGS! Come on now, it's just not a Disney Movie if they don't spontaniously burst into song!

I'll have to go with Aladdin, It was the first Disney movie I ever saw that I was old enough to understand. Plus Jafar was my favorite Disney character until I was like 6
