If you enjoyed the Chorological Donald DVD's, I found this rare gem. It was Donald Duck where he was a guest on an old radio show called "NBC Story Shop". This episode was called "Donald Duck's Vacation Adventures". That episode was originally aired back on August 23, 1947. That was 59 years ago today where Donald Duck was a guest on "NBC Story Shop". It was hosted by Craig McDonald. This is one of the rarest episode in old time radio history and it's a marvelous find. Let's take a listen to the "NBC Story Shop" with Craig McDonald with special guest, Donald Duck. Enjoy!

Thanks musicradio77, I just got through listening to that clip it was nice to just sit back and listen to it, I can only imagine how exciting something like this was back in the day, to bad we don't have any similar radio programs in present times.

Radio's sadly becoming a dying breed...particularly with podcasts overtaking radio talk shows.

It might interest some to know that there used to be a radio program called the Mickey Mouse Theater of the Air. Although only about six or seven of the twenty episodes are believed to exist, they are very interesting period pieces. If interested, check out:

P.S. Yahoo! I just posted my 100th post.

P.P.S. Funny, I thought it would be a bigger deal than this. I still feel the same. Oh, well....

On the "Snow White" DVD, it features a short-lived "Mickey Mouse Theater of the Air" including Snow White along with the seven dwarfs as well as Mickey, Minnie, Donald and others.

Heh, that NBC Story Shop stuff was interesting and entertaining. It's always nice to hear more of Donald, and I also like how a couple of songs from Fun and Fancy Free are reprised. Thanks for the link. :)
