New Magic Kingdom entertainment offerings
As part of the Year of a Million Dreams celebration, the Magic Kingdom will be rolling out some new entertainment offerings. These are all scheduled for a late September 2006 soft opening.

* Woody's Cowboy Camp in the Frontierland area
* Mainstreet Family Fun Day Parade
* Highschool Musical Pep Rally in Tommorowland
* Royal Court Academy in the Castle Hub area
* A new castle show replacing Cinderellabration, currently titled "Mickey's Dream-Along Castle Party"

I'll be happy w/ any new castle forecourt show- as long as it's just as wonderful as CSC...wish they would bring that one back... :-/

The Family Fun Parade definitely won't replace Share A Dream Come True. The latter recently (as in, like, last week) has been updated. The globes have been removed from each float and replaced with arches, there's new music ported over from Tokyo Disneyland and new choreography.

The new castle show has me intrigued since Cinderella's Surprise Celebration has been around forever and Cinderellabration was cute but nothing special. I just hope this new show isn't just about the Spectacular Six but rather has animated classics characters joining in, too.

Having something High School Musical-related in Tomorrowland makes me scratch my head, and I'm not that interested in the other things. My next Disney trip is in the beginning of October right when the Year of A Million Dreams begins, so I should be able to see all of these additions. Hopefully Disney will actually explain what the heck is going to happen during this celebration since they've been awfully vague at this point.

Does anybody know why the High School Musical Pep Rally is in Tomorrowland? This just doesn't make any sense to me. Granted I'm not sure exactly where it would fit in the MK.

I think it's the only place with an area available to do something (Galaxy Palace Theater), but I agree with you because it doesn't make any sense to me. Having a High School Musical related attraction at a theme park is just going a bit too far with this franchise.

Also, it'd be incredibly weird for other people to be playing the characters since they are real human characters. With the animated characters it's different. I don't know, maybe it's just me. I still feel weird seeing Mary Poppins and it's not Julie Andrews. Heck, it's odd to see Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable as face characters.

The new Castle show sounds great though! And the parade is cool too. I hope they bring back the original princess floats now that they're just arches and not snowglobes. It's cool to see how much influence Tokyo Disneyland is having on the US parks now. Hopefully we'll get a DisneySea type park or attractions.
