Ace, thanks for posting this. I guess this is an indication that it could be released in UK as well. I hope it does, I wouldn't want to import it.

Cdon.com lists it as being 75 minutes, which would mean it's unedited.

Apparently, fictional cartoon hillbillies weren't favourites of Michael Eisner...

Hi guys, names Gary, new to the forums. I own the Make Mine Music R2 VHS that was released in 2000 (ish). I emailled disney last year and they said that this movie was not released because of difficulties trying to get the rights to a piece of music. Thought it sounded a bit fishy
I emailled again this year and they replied again, this time saying:
"In the regards to Make Mine Music, the reason it no due to be released in
the UK, because they are waiting for the anniversary.
Kind Regards

SegaGary - welcome to the forum and thanks for the inside scoop.
There has been respective rumours of a R2/R4 release for years, and the original Aussie disc was passed through the OFLC on VHS (I believe) at the full 70-something minutes (allowing for PAL speedup).
I'd really love to see this released as it is the only 'classic' that I am yet to purchase on DVD.

I have been refusing to buy this edited DVD... So, I really hope this new one definitely isn't!

From UD's review, one can deduce that the film's presentation in Region 1 is far from stellar, in the audio/video departement.
If it is released to Region 2, I would certainly expect some sort of restoration, even in the minimlest of the its minimal form.
Let's hope Disney can deliver.

I don't know what sort of trouble you'd have in UK, but I import almost all of my DVDs - most from US, quite a few from UK.

The only DVDs I've bought from abroad were MM:IB&W2 and Snow White, I don't mind importing but I'd rather have my own region.

I hope it will be released in Germany but as far as I know Buena Vista Germany it won't. BTW it's one of the few movies which weren't dubbed here!

According to the info on cdon.com, it will have subtitles in all scandinavian languages, which means it will probably be released in all of these countries.
However, in order to see the title at cdon.com I have to enter as being from a scandinavian country ( if I choose Germany or Europe as my location it will only show music CDs ), so I assume cdon.com doesn't ship DVDs out of Denmark, Sweden, Norway or Finland.
So, does anyone know of a store located in one of these countries and that ships DVDs to the rest of Europe ( namely to Portugal ) ?
Thanks
Carlos

It appears that it is the uncensored version. The running time is listed as 75 minutes whereas the region release is listed as 67 minutes.

And we've known about it since 2003, that doesn't mean it's coming!
