Help with Davy Crockett lyrics

I’m putting together a custom set of inserts for the Davy Crockett Walt Disney Treasures DVD, with one component being the lyrics of “The Ballad of Davy Crockett” listed on a show-by-show basis. The idea is to show what was added to the song in each installment of the series. However, I’m having trouble getting the lyrics for one of the later episodes and I hope someone could help.

The lyrical lines in question take place during the Davy Crockett’s Keelboat Race episode on disc 2. If you skip ahead to around the 00:22:40 mark, you’ll see Davy’s crew start to sing the ballad with the following lyrics:
He don’t take nothin’ from no man at all – ho!
The bigger they brag the harder they fall – ho!
The tougher they are the louder they squall
When they get what fer in a free-for-all – ho!
Davy, Davy Crockett, king of the wild frontier

Ain’t no trick at all to polin’ keelboats
We can beat Mike Fink with anything that floats
Now we got the hang, why, we feel our oats
[...]
Davy, Davy Crockett, [tanglin’ with big Mike Fink]
The lyrics noted in red are the ones I can’t figure out. Unfortunately, they aren’t clearly listed in the subtitles. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve

I've been doing nothing but watching Crockett episodes all week and I still can't tell.
The problem is Mike Fink starts talking over that section...
I've done a search on Google for it, but to no avail.
If anyone knows, please post because it is bugging me now :P

i'm not positive on this but i listened to the lines in question and i think the tanglin with big mike fink is correct and the other one, from what i can tell is...

Now we got the hang, why we feel our oats
we'll stuff their plans down their ornery throats

now that doesn't look right but that's what it sounded like.

you must remember that this is not "The Ballad of Davy Crockett" but rather a song made just like it to match the plot of the movie.

Thanks everyone for your help. donaldduckfan, your lyrics make the most sense. :) Maybe we'll never know what was officially said there.

This is me just being stupid, but did you try turning on the captions and see why they say the song is saying? Closed captioning might help also. It's what I always do when I need to "translate" what is being said. Saved my life with a show like the West Wing.

Not a stupid question at all. :) Yes, I tried the captions and they pretty much emulate the same content as the subtitles.
