Planning my trip to Disney World

Hi, my parents want to pay for my trip to Disney World. I'm still trying to plan my trip. They are not coming with me.
I remember reading about a Disney Store in Disney World in Orlando Florida, but I don't remember which park or section it is in. I looked at the maps but I couldn't find it.

Does anyone know where the store is located? And can I expect to find toys, clothes, and other stuff that aren't in other Disney Stores? I remember someone writing about pins. I don't know if the Disney Store still sells pins though.
Any information or advice will be greatly appreciated.
I'm interested in watching the Festival of the Lion King at Camp Minnie-Mickey. lol
Because I can't drive, it looks like I'll need to take two busses from Orlando International Airport to Walt Disney World / Downtown Superstop Drive.
Now I'm going to read about the monorail in Walt Disney World.
One more question: is there an information booth near the entrances or bus stations where I can retrieve a map.
Edit: changed title to something useful. This thread is atcually about my plans to Walt Disney World.
Bye

There are stores everywhere where you can find tons and tons of great stuff that's exclusive to the parks. They also vary from store to store, so each one is slightly different.

Ok, thanks for the info. For some reason, I only remembered one or stores. I just found out that there is a Lego Store in Downtown Disney. Now I see what you mean when you say that there are stores everywhere.
I was thinking of World Of Disney in Downtown Disney Marketplace. Now I remember the name of the store. lol

I'm not sure when I'l lbe able to go to Walt Disney World because my parents are on a budget. I do want to visit Disney World during the winter when it is not too hot and humid.
I found out that each theme park has a Guest Relations booth. I can pick up a guide book at Guest Relations.
I've been reading about characters signing autograph books. Where can I buy one? I hope I can buy one in Walt Disney World.

I personally suggest that you buy The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World. You can get it on Amazon for about $13. (Make sure you click through UD) It's the best guide book out there that I know of; but Guest Relations has the basic map, and some information about the parks. They're all very near the entrance of the parks. You can also buy the autograph books at any of the stores at the parks or at Downtown Disney. If you're staying at a WDW resort Disney will pick you up from the Airport. Good luck planning, if you have any other questions keep asking!

Crunk is right - the Unofficial Guide is excellent as is the Passporter book(blue).
The Lion King show is excellent by the way.

The World of Disney Store is still in Downtown Disney- my advice is dont go after dark- it's wicked busy in there at night.
There is also Once Upon a Toy gift shop at downtown disney which is alot of fun to go in too.
Disney Store no longer sells pins...but u can buy them on the webpage disneydirect.com and just about every disney world gift shop on property sells them & some have trading/showing areas for pin sharks...i mean, advid collectors.
There are info stations at all the bus dropoffs. U can also get transportation maps/guides at any Disney Guest Relations desk, in the EARPort Disney Store at the airport, and in hotel lobbies on & off property.
Dont miss Festival of the Lion King- it's quite a gem of a show!
Have a fun trip!

Thanks for the information everyone. I will look at The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World, 2006 by Bob Sehlinger and Len Testa.
I will also read about the PassPorter Walt Disney World Resort 2006 by Jennifer Marx, Dave Marx, Allison Cerel Marx
I also found "Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World for Grown-Ups, Unofficial Guides" while looking at Borders Books.
I might go to Disney World in January unless my parents are broke after paying my college tuition. lol
I'll post my rough itinerary soon.
Now I will continue to read about the happiest place on earth. Yay.
