It's been somewhat of a dream of mine to work a summer at one of the Disney theme parks as whatever and I've been wondering where all the information for appying for a job is. I went to the DisneyCareers website for the parks and it didn't really give me the clear cut answer I was looking for. Any information would be helpful!

That's strange, because on reading the title of this thread I would have immediately thought "Disney Careers".

Try this link:

and click "Openings" on the left side of the screen. You can then select job-type by category, and you can select each job individually. The selection criteria for the jobs will be displayed individually.

The individual park sites have job info as well. From Disneyland, for example:

For hourly positions, please contact our Resort Casting Office at (800) 766-0888.

For salaried and professional positions, please visit our Disney Careers Site or submit your resume along with salary history to:

If you want to work at Disneyland, you might find this interesting. I'd jump at the chance, but I live all the way on the exact opposite side of the country.



The article says why Disney is in desparate need of cast members at Disneyland and it's not too pretty, but compared to what CPs and some CMs make in WDW, $8.20/hr is great!

I'm not sure what type of job you are looking for, but there are often auditions for characters and shows around major cities, especially at local dance companies and those sorts of places. For example, one of my friends auditioned at the Atlanta Ballet and is now going to be Cinderella.

I've always wanted to work at a park too, but I live in Michigan!

Of course when you consider the fact that minimum wage in CA is $6.75/hr and that the cost of living there is (I'd imagine) a bit more pricey than in other areas, the starting salary isn't THAT appealing. But then I worked at a Disney Store in MN for $5.25/hr in 2002, so Disney obviously knows that people will work for them for practically nothing.
