Question for "Lost" DVD owners!

So, I am constantly debating over wether to purchase this or not. I keep changing my mind! Yes, no, yes again, no... My main point of conflict is regarding wether or not it has repeat value. It is cool, and the mystery is intruiging, but does it hold up on repeat viewings? I've checked the review though it doesn't seem to cover that aspect (it's still a great review

).
And please, for any responders who are hardcore fans. Try to answer this as objectively as possible!
And one other totally off-topic question: When does the credit card get charged for a preordered internet purchase (oh, and when does UD get its share?)?

I have become so spoiled by DVD season sets that I hardly watch any TV at all. I have purposefully avoided a single episode of Lost, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, among many others so I can enjoy them on DVD. I will watch the entire first season of Lost over the summer to get ready for season 2 on September 22nd. So, to finally answer your question, yes it does hold up to repeated viewings.

DisneyFan 2000, if you like the series Lost then get both seasons but if your low on cash then get them after Thanksgiving or on the release date of season 2 (October 3). Best Buy, Circuit City or Costco could do a promotion with both season sets.
Amazon is selling both Lost for $59.99 and I don't think you want to spend more then $100 on both Lost when you can get them lower somewere else.
Oh, yeah season two does repeat a little what happen in the first season.
Even in the season finale for season two.

You do remember that DisneyFan2000 isn't from America, right?

No, I didn't know he wasn't from the United States, sorry.

The answer to both is when the order ships. Though it will show up as an order the day after it is placed, for most sites.

The list of R2 DVDs that I own kinda blew my cover... But I'll be visiting the US in about 3 weeks, so maybe I'll find the time to stop at Best Buy.

Thanks for your input on the show. To be honest season 2 is the one I'm much more sure I want. It relies much more on character relationships instead of the mystery aspect. And don't reveal the season finale yet! I haven't seen it.

Thanks! I thought that was the case. That means I can order another package, despite my awfully small credit limit. Being a teenager sucks.
Any more input would be greatly appreciated. Has someone here purchased it and discovered it ain't that great after a second spin?

I watch and DVR every episode of "Lost" and then transfer it to DVD+RW and rewatch it when there is nothing better on television. This is one show that has so much going on, you need to rewatch it at least once or twice to catch the little hints and clues that are left out there without much to do.
I did the same with Season One, and then I bought the DVD Box set when it was released, and I have watched it at least three times during the second season.
I will again purchase the Second Season DVD box set when it comes out and then will repeat with Season Three what I have done the first two seasons. I think "Lost" is one of those shows that requres repeat viewing to keep up with the subtle nuances that are going on.
By the way I do the same with "Desperate Housewives", "House", and "24".

Thanks for the reply junkie!
I was wondering, since you do the same with Housewives... Did you also catch how Lynette told Tom in Season 1 she would take the kids and leave if he'd cheat, and then in Season 2 she does exactly that when she saw him in Atlantic City? I thought it was a neat detail to add.

So here's an update for those who are interested!

After finishing Season 2 I've decided without a doubt that I'd like this show in my collection! Season 2 was all that Season 1 was, only so much better. This is forming to be a great show!

I would say yes. But only if you're gonna watch the whole season consecutively. You can't just pick an episode you wanna watch unless you're hunting for clues.
