So... Here's a poll for all us park geeks : What's your favourite fireworks show currently running at one of the parks? I've included only the US shows, since Paris's show is a watered-down version of Wishes, and for the life of me, I can't remember the names of the Tokyo shows.

Here's my rank:
1. Illuminations: ROE - Yeah, the fireworks are dated, but the music is still the classiest out there!
2. Fantasmic - Technically a night-time show, but has many cool firework elements, and the water screen effect blew me away.
3. Remember - The usage of sound clips from various attractions is genius, the way the show surrounds the park is also genius, and hearing Walt's greeting is spine-chilling.
4. Wishes - Great original music, but nothing special other than that. Fireworks are nice, but I expect more than just the regular stuff. The show lacks that extra somethin' to make me go 'WOW!'.

So, what's your rank?

I havent seen Dreams Come True @ Disneyland...

But I've seen all the WDW shows.

Wishes is my pick- i like how Tink flies from Cinderella Castle, hosted by Jiminy Cricket, and all the guest character voices and how the fireworks look like hearts, cruella hair, stars, magic mirror face, and mickey heads.

fantasmic doesnt have much of a fireworks show...but they make a great finale!

I'm going to leave "Fantasmic!" out of my rankings because it'll be too difficult otherwise. Sadly, I haven't seen Remember Dreams Come True. "Wishes" tops my list with "Sorcercy in the Sky" close behind. Then it's "IllumiNations!" followed distantly by "Fantasy in the Sky." Those are the only Disney fireworks shows that I can recall seeing.

I had to vote for Fantasmic on of the best firework shows anyways it's also shown in Disneyland here in California.

1. Remember Dreams Come Ture- RDCT blows them all out of the water. The wondeful mix of fireworks, music, audio is incredible! Heck, name one other fireworks show that SURROUNDS you with fireworks. I use to think Wishes was the best, but after seeing RDCT, I can't recall a fireworks show ANYWHERE that could top it.

2. Wishes- While nothing copared to RDCT. Wishes is a great show. Depends on where you sit though, but still great fireworks and wonderful audio from Jiminy Cricket.

3. Fantasmic- I hate Fantasmic. Probably the most overrated show in all of Florida. I mean the fireworks are unimpressive, and the rest of the show is just edited movie clips and characters waving at the audience. Can you say boring?

4. Illuminations- Yet, surprisingly, IllumiNations is more boring than Fantasmic. You just see a ball in the center of the lake, a couple shooting fireworks, that's it. The most overrated fireworks show I've ever seen in my life.

So as you can see, I'm not fond of the firework shows outside of the Magic Kingdoms.

I've only seen Remember... Dreams Come True, but I've seen that about 10 times. Every night, the skies above Anaheim lit up with the show, and it was spectacular without the sound.

However, when I finally saw it from the park - standing in front of New Orleans Square facing the Rivers of America, having just seen the equally brilliant Fantasmic! Show - I was blown away by the sight and sound spectacular. It was my last night (of four non-consecutive days) in the park, and it was a hell of a way to finish my Disney experience.

Looking forward to seeing Disney in the Sky in Hong Kong in September. There is also a city-wide light display which is also meant to be spectacular.

Remember...Dreams Come True is the most amazing of the ones listed. It really made Wishes seem like not a big deal anymore.

And I am surprised that the original Fantasmic! at Disneyland was not included in this poll, since it is gernerally thought that it is superior to the one at Disney/MGM.

I voted for Illuminations because it is the one I remember best out of the ones I've seen so that must mean something.
I like firework shows that have alot of color to them and also different shapes.

What??????? Compared to Fantasy in the Sky, I thought this was amazing! I'm glad you liked the music, but the show that is synchronized with it was great too! I've never seen some of the stuff they used in previous fireworks shows.

I'm surprised a lot of you are so amazed by Remember, Dreams Come True. Now don't shoot me just yet...I first saw this from afar in Downtown Disney. It was pretty cool from what we could see, but Disney didn't play the music there. I thought they would since they play Wishes in the restaurants at the hotels around the lagoon at WDW. At some parts my brother and sister (Escapay and Jane Mccoy) who worked at Magic Kingdom each at least for 8 months and have practically memorized "Wishes" were like, "Hey this looks familiar!" It was familiar because they stole it from Wishes. We we bought the Disneyland album and listened to the soundtrack of the show and sure enough, there was wishes with Julie Andrews instead of Jiminy Cricket. I was shocked that Disney would tag RDCT as a whole new show when all they did was take out some parts and add a lot of classic attraction music.

I really can't be saying much more other than my shock that they took elements from wishes and tried to bill it as something new. Also I didn't see the whole show and it didn't have the music. But from what I can guess it's nothing more than Wishes with added elements to make it seem more of an honor to Disneyland.

Well all that doesn't really matter since I voted for Fantasmic! anyway . I listen to the soundtrack all the time and the show is my favorite out of all of WDW. The music is great and I like how the clips of classic Disney films are presented. There's only so much you could do with the live characters running around the rock. I love the Dancing Bubbles medley and montage and the new animation with Mickey riding the carpet and other stuff. The plot and story was simple enough and intriguing enough to captivate all members of the audience. I think most people who rate the show low just had their expectations too high or where irritated after waiting so long in the terribly long and chaotic line. Oh, here's a good tip! If you want to avoid all that, just wait for the second showing! Getting in is a lot easier and people aren't as crabby. Plus it's darker so the show is cooler.

Biased here, as Kram already pointed out, and I voted for "Wishes".

That's right, you can't say anything because you havent seen it. Remember is 17 minutes long vs. Wishes 10 minutes, and less than 2 minutes of the show were lifted from Wishes. And how else can you celebrate 50 years of Disneyland without using past and present attractions in the show?

And you didn't even see Tinker Bell's two flights, which is one of the best parts of the show! They also play the fireworks music in the hotels at Disneyland as well.

2. IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth (was my absolute favorite in the world until I saw Remember)
3. Wishes

I'm leaving Fantasmic! out and calling it its own brand of show because I think it's too hard to rank them otherwise. I agree with those who mentioned Disneyland's original Fantasmic; I like it better than WDW's as well.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE it. Maybe it just came out as if I don't. I was just not that impressed with it on a whole, but yes, compared to Fantasy in the Sky it rocks. But that's comparing it to a 30 year-old show. And by the way, sorry for discluding the Disneyland Fantasmic! It just slipped my mind...

i love fantasmic in Disney/Mgm Studios because the music and the adventure with Mickey Mouse i love it so much i will see it again this November.:edna:

Dreams come true is the best firewworks show I have ever seen and now they have Tinkerbell fly over the castle during the show

I love Fantasmic! but since it isn't a straight fireworks show, I'll go with Remember ... Dreams Come True. Disney fireworks shows in general make me tear up a bit, but this one gave me an even larger abundance of sentimental feelings.

Is Fantasmic - listed here as Disney/MGM - the same as the Fantasmic at Anaheim? I really enjoyed the show, but it is definitely not a pure fireworks show. Still, a definite highlight!

There are a few scenes in the Disneyland version that were replaced in the WDW version that some feel are superior to their replacements. Still, both present a very entertaining show in my opinion. I remember watching the finale with stars in my eyes at the pilot of the steamboat. But that's just me. I think if you say that Fantasmic is a fireworks show, it is my favorite. If you don't, then here's the ranking.

Remember, Dreams Come True: Have never seen it, but I love what I've heard. Big Julie Andrews fan and I love that it included Walt's dedication speech.

Wishes: This has a special place in my heart because I saw it with my girlfriend. I gave her a princess necklace with her name on it before the show and told her it was for making my wishes come true. OK. A little cheesy...but it was from the heart.

Illuminations. It's an amazing display of pyrotechnical wizardry. But...not as fun for the child in me. But the adult in me absolutely loves the show.

Ooh, that was something I was going to mention. Fantasmic! at Disney World succeeds in that it takes place in a huge amphitheatre so you don't have to look over heads during the entire show and are able to sit down. However, I much prefer the <i>Peter Pan</i> sequence over the rock-climbing <i>Pocahontas</i> deal. Otherwise, besides a bit of added dialog from more modern Disney movies in the soundtrack, I think the two shows are pretty much the same. Somehow even though the viewing area at Disney World is much more convenient, I still prefer the setting at Disneyland. Maybe it's just because that's where I first saw the show.

Something about it taking place inside the Magic Kingdom, as if "taking over" Tom Sawyer's Island, with the cottage or whatever it is behind it, sounds to me as if it would be very, very cool to see.
