presents <b><i>Talespin Volume 1</i></b>, part of the <i>Disney Animated TV Box Sets Collection</i>. Ace cargo
pilot Baloo is teamed with feisty Kit Cloudkicker, pitted against a band of air pirates led by Don
Karnage. Plus there’s another famous nemesis for Baloo, Shere Khan. Louie the ape stars as
a music-loving nightclub owner, and “Talespin” also features Baloo’s friends Rebecca and her
daughter Molly. They find mystery, intrigue, and humor in the exotic setting of Cape Suzette, a
huge bustling city in a tropic zone. It’s animated fun for all. The series pilot episode is included.

<b><i>Talespin Volume 1</i></b> features veteran voice talents Ed Gilbert, Sally Struthers, Jim Cummings,
Pat Fraley, Tony Jay, R.J. Williams. A high-flying extravaganza of fun and adventure, <b><i>Talespin

As I said with Darkwing AWESOME COVERS AND WE GET THE PILOT! I can't wait!

Yay! I was very worried that Disney was abandoning the 27 episode releases and going with the 3 episode compilations.

Even though the design is cool, I'm dissapointed that they recycled the old VHS cover arts. But heck, WHO CAN COMPLAIN?! It looks good and I'm gonna buy both this and Darkwing Duck.

I LOVE the Tale Spin artwork I can't wait to start my own Disney Afternoon when I get both sets plus The Tick.

Hopfully both Quack Pack and Goof Troop get season sets not 5 episodes per volume.

what happend to kit he looks awful

I'm glad to see we are getting more than 3 episodes, and the pilot with this release. I like the cover art too.

The TaleSpin cover is pure classic.

In a way the announcement is a little bittersweet.

On the one hand I'll def. be getting them and I am very happy about the pilot being included in both and the fact that they are both 27 episode sets.

On the other hand it makes The Ducktales and Rescue Ranger sets that must more frustrating because they absence of a pilot just seems even more careless and avoidable. It also makes the Goof Troop release seem a little bit sillier as well.

I'm happy they are learning, but it makes me frustrated there was even that big of a problem to correct in the first place.

I like this cover a lot, same with The Darkwing cover. I know i should be getting this, Darkwing and The Tick but not on the same date since i probably will have other priorities depending on When Buena Vista decides to get PR MF Volume 2 and 3 on to the shelves.

Well PR Fan TaleSpin, Darkwing Duck, The Tick, Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers and Gargoyles need all the support they could get so Disney could release more volumes. With low sales Disney might not relase future volumes..is kind of happen to Gargoyles Disney isn't sure to release Gargoyles Season 2 Volume 2.

Yeah, as I got older, I too discovered how intricate and complex Cape Suzette was. A harbor town with giant cliffs protecting it was a perfect setting.

Ya can't go wrong with a Jazz Man named LOUIE!

Dan Green and Kristof are both writers and Tale Spin fans. They teamed up for a holiday-themed story, "Dream a Little Dream of Christmas;" which was their telling about Kit Cloudkicker's first Holiday Season in Cape Suzette. It also tells about Kit and Baloo visiting a Jazz club and gives a stirring description of the Cape Suzette Harbour:

"The lilting sound of the foghorn out on Cape Suzette harbor wafted in through the open window at Higher for Hire, where Kit and Baloo sat leisurely drinking coffee at the large dining table. It was a sound that Kit always found oddly soothing, almost... musical, in it's way. It was joined on this foggy evening by the sound of Wildcat hammering away at one of the Sea Duck's engines by lamplight, another one of Kit's favorite sounds. The sound of Higher for Hire. The sound of home."

This story helped to make a Jazz fan out of me, too!

What about Ducktales too, And I have never seen a full episode of Gargoyles. Of course i know people have to support the releases in order to get more episodes.

Talespin was a show that didn't always hit the right buttons for me, but I appreciated it more as I got older and watched re-runs. In a way it was a very different approach for Disney and the world they created was rather fascinating.

Don't the Simpsons follow on that same format, only one set per year?

Yeah, Talespin was praised as something highly different then Disney had done at the time, TV or movie. I'm so excited this will be coming! ^_^

Yeah it is, was reffering to Pals post since he didn't include Ducktales possibily because IMO it's the most known of them besides Tail Spin and Chip N Dale.
