Taylor is better than Katherine, but the three who were voted off before them are better than both of them.

well since Chris is out- I'm gonna go w/ Taylor....even though he prob WONT win the competition- i will be voting for him next week.

Anyone but Taylor should win American Idol.

Taylor's a joke... he was okay for the early finals but should have been gone weeks ago. Kathryn's better than he is, but neither of them deserve the final two spots. Mandeesa and Paris were by far the best vocalists of the season, with Chris and Elliot close behind them.

Absofreakinglutely. With Mandisa right after them.

I think Kat just got lucky...she wasn't a favorite when they had a final 10, so she just slid right by. Mandisa, now that was a voice! Paris was the weaker singer as the years went by...probably had to do with song choice (like when she chose to do Mary J. Blige! )

Aren't the past winners from the South? If so, Taylor will win.
But if viewers are going to vote on who's better to look at, then it's Kat.

Well, I guess our votes got wrong this time...Taylor Hicks is the American Idol in its 5th season! Congratulations to Taylor for winning. It's such a big achievement. And to Katharine, congratulations too for making it this far!

First season I have ever watched. Could not believe the order they were voted off in. These are not the two best vocalists. Nowhere near. The tinal two should have come from Chris, Mandisa and Elliott.

Totally agree, Toadie. Mandisa was voted out for one bad performance, really. I liked Taylor a lot, but I still think the final 2 should have been Chris and Elliott. And Elliott would have been there last night if they had let him perform last in the final 3 like it was his turn to.
