Thanks for the info. I don't know if I'll watch this or not. Then again, I'm a multi-layered person, kind of like onions. Not cake, but onions. I said that I was NOT going to watch Cow Belles, but then the second day that the movie was on Disney Channel, I watched it. I might watch it, and I might not.

BURBANK, Calif., October 16, 2006 – All-new to Disney DVD, Brenda Song (of Disney Channel's hit series
“The Suite Life of Zack & Cody”) stars in Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior, filled with fun Kung Fu moves,
action and excitement. Wendy’s biggest concern is winning the title of Homecoming Queen until a young
Chinese monk, Shen, informs her that she’s actually a reincarnated Chinese warrior who must train to conquer
an ancient spirit that threatens to destroy the world. While struggling to balance the demands of her
homecoming queen campaign, shopping, and boyfriends, Wendy discovers the importance of her Chinese
roots, and trains to battle the ancient evil spirit – while she develops an unlikely friendship in the process.
Available on DVD for U.S. $19.99 (SRP), Canada $24.99 (SRP) on October 24 from Buena Vista Home
Entertainment.

Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior also stars Shin Koyamada (“The Last Samurai”), Susan Chuang (TV’s
“Cold Case”), Justin Chon, Michael David Cheng, Andy Fischer-Price, Ellen Woglom, Tsai Chin (“Memoirs Of A Geisha”).
The hugely successful premiere of "Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior" drew an average 5.7 million viewers,
making Disney Channel the most-watched network on all of television in the time period (broadcast & basic
cable). The movie has since premiered to strong ratings on Disney Channels around the world.

In addition to her acting talent, 18-year-old Brenda Song, is a black belt in Karate. For "Wendy Wu:
Homecoming Warrior," she and her co-star Shin Koyamada trained under the supervision of veteran stunt
coordinator and visual effects unit director Koichi Sakamoto who choreographed scenes using what he calls a
"modern traditional" style of kung fu based on five different animals: snake, dragon, tiger, crane and leopard.
"It's a very traditional style that was popular in 1970s kung fu movies," he says. "It made me happy to do it,
because I was a big fan of this style and it's the first time I got to show those moves in a film."

Of course, to keep things age appropriate for kids and tweens, the action is toned down several notches from
classic 1970s martial arts films. "We went for more of a gracefulness, similar to new Chinese films like
'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' and 'House of Flying Daggers.' In the final action scene, when Wendy fights
in a pink homecoming dress, it's visually very graceful."

Bonus Features
• Never-Before-Seen Alternate Ending
• Homecoming Warrior In Training – Exclusive Interview With Brenda Song
• Cast Connections – Brenda Talks About Her Disney Family Tree
• Bonus Special “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” Episode With Brenda Song

Written by Vince Cheung & Ben Montanio and B. Mark Seabrooks & Lydia Look. Directed by John

DVDJunkie- I care. This movie is not going to revolutionise the world, but that doesn't mean that it's not entertaining. Many people like this film, and if you don't like it, then spare us your comments.
Looking forward to the bonus features!

Actually, I'm with James. Im looking forward to this as well. I saw it on Disney Channel when it premiered and I found it very entertaining. I definently liked this years DCOMs much better than last year. I just hope next year's wont be terrible, but its not looking good...... (Jump and Double Dutch)

I remeber last year.....they had a couple stinkers (Buffalo Dreams/Go Figure/ Life is Ruff) Let's hope they dont screw up Halloweentown IV......

....but anyway....back on track.... I will definently buy this day of release and I am looking forward to future DCOM releases and am hoping for some decent DCOS boxset releases...

Just found on the official site that this DVD is entitled as "Kickin' Edition" and here's the still-not-finalized cover art from the site:

Why does Disney have to put the little subtitle on it? It was fine without Kickin' Edition added.

• Bonus Special “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” Episode With Brenda Song
Well that's new isn't it?

I'm passing this one. Now High School Musical was cheesy, but this one is just oozing with cheese.

I'm sure that no one will know, but is there any word on which episode of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody will be included in this release?

I just got my Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior DVD. The episode of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody included is Forever Plaid.

In addition, there is a sneak peek of High School Musical 2 in the DVD. The sneak peek is the same as described in Wikipedia unless the title is High School Musical 2 only. The subtitle mentioned in Wikipedia is still not confirmed. As seen in the sneak peek, High School Musical 2 is scheduled to release in summer 2007.

Other sneak peeks include Robin Hood: Special Edition, Cinderella III: A Twist In Time, Tinker Bell, Air Buddies, Peter Pan: Special Edition, Meet the Robinsons, Hannah Montana and Cars.

Oh okay, thanks for checking that out. Some people mightn't know, but the series The Suite Life of Zack and Cody is wrapping up extremely quickly, as it premiered in the beginning of last year and will finish it's second and most probably last season within the next few months. It totals 65 episodes though, as did Lizzie McGuire, with the first season being larger than normal, and the second season being even larger than that. That is one fast series. The episode that appears on this DVD in part of the second season. That episode has Vanessa Anne Hudgens in it, for anyone that didn't already know. She is also well known as Gabrielle from High School Musical, of which's sequel's trailer premiered on this very DVD. On the subject of the trailers, did the trailer for Tinker Bell just have the fairies in it, or did it have the extra cast of Peter Pan, such as Peter himself, Captain Hook, etc.? I'd just like to know if it's going to be another sequel, or a Fairies promoter.
