13 year old Tony Malone (Iake Eisenmann, “Tom & Huck”) and his 11-year old sister Tia (Kim
Richards), orphaned by the loss of their foster parents, live in a children’s home. Their incredible
psychic powers attract rich and powerful Aristotle Bolt (film legend Ray Milland), who adopts them in
order to exploit them. Running away, the children are pursued by their captors and the police. They
discover that they are actually castaways from another planet, who must find the safe haven of Witch
Mountain. With Eddie Albert (TV’s “Green Acres”) and Donald Pleasence (“Fantastic Voyage”).

In this exciting sequel to “Escape To Witch Mountain,” automobiles mysteriously fly and humans float
in thin air as sinister masterminds Christopher Lee (“Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers,” “Star Wars
Episode II: Attack of the Clones”) and screen legend Bette Davis unleash a diabolical plan. The entire
city of Los Angeles teeters on the brink of nuclear disaster when the greedy criminals manipulate
Tony’s (Iake Eisenmann) supernatural powers for their own devious gain. But the youth’s sister Tia
(Kim Richards) and a streetwise band of truants join forces in a desperate attempt to save the city
from destruction.

Damn. Now I gotta pick up the SE's before they're OOP. Nice that Escape got a price reduction to $14.99, though.

I guess this was really in the vein of the Davy Crockett 2-movie collection. Only no bonus cartoon.

Anyone know where I could pick up the SE's? I'd like to have them before they are OOP. How much do they cost?

You should try your local Best Buy or Circuit City....that's where I'm going to look on Saturday or Sunday....since I prefer to have them seperate instead on one Disc.

If not their try Amazon and support UD... :P

Dang. I knew I should have taken advantage of that DeepDiscountDVD sale. Now I've got to hunt around for the cheapest copies of those two films... The R4 versions are virtually barebones.

Another pointless re-release. Why couldn't they use this DVD to release "Beyond Witch Mountain"? For anyone who is interested in purchasing the Special Editions, Wal-Mart is selling them.

Yeah, Instead of making a 2-Movie Collection of movie's already released on DVD, they could put "Beyond Witch Mountain" and "Escape to Witch Mountain (the TV movie)". I wish...

Not *my* Wal-Mart, dammit.

Oh well, I'll make it one of my priority discs to get with my Florida paychecks...

They will have it during Summer. I bought Escape to Witch Mountain and Return to Witch Mountain last July for $12.50 CDN. :)

OOh I gotta get this. I have Escape on vhs from when i was about six years old. Not that long ago [14 years ago] but still it would be nice to have it on dvd and reminisce about the days I wished I would develope powers because I am really an alien.

You might be better off to go with the currently-available discs, if you care at all for bonus features. The Special Editions that are out there have featurettes, commentaries, etc. As part of their Disney DVD sale, J&R Computer World is selling each disc for $11.99, from now through the end of this week. Of course, if you don't care at all to hear from the director and actors today, then you'd be just as fine to wait another two months and get the 2-Movie disc for a few dollars cheaper.

I've never heard of Beyond Witch Mountain so I really can't help you.

Also, go get the current versions, Two movie collections are ok, but like Luke said, you're losing all the bonus features

An hour-long made-for-TV 1982 spin-off of sorts starring Eddie Albert with the Tia and Tony roles played by Tracey Gold ("Growing Pains") and Andy Freeman. Like pretty much all of Disney's made-for-TV movies, this has never seen the light of home video officially.
