Of the three Platinum Editions released so far, which one do you consider the best?

The Lion King?
Beauty and the Beast?

I voted for Snow White since I think was the one with the best Special Features. Also I really enjoyed the "Disney Through the Decades" feature it was very interesting. Even if the Rescuers only appeared for about a second.

:) :) :)

I voted Beauty and the Beast as well. I guess there is more they could have gone in depth about and stuff that may not have been mentioned, but I still think it was fairly comprehensive. Snow White, just doesn't catch my intrest as much as BATB, so while this was also a good Platinum, "the best" according to some, BATB, was just held more interesting info for me, and was a little more fun to go through, but both of these were definately very good I think, for the first 2 tries! :) Howver, The Lion King, really is just aweful  ...

So Beauty and the Beast for me. :)

Movie-wise, I rank The Lion King far ahead of Beauty and the Beast and Snow White, but in terms of DVD extras, it would fall in third, behind B&B and the most substantial PE, Snow White.

I agree, Beauty and the Beast is my favorite platinum so far. I love the movie, with the beautiful new colors, and the bonus features. "Human Again" was such a cool song to add! The art galleries are so neat to look through, and I loved all of the "making of the movie" and "the story behind the story" features. The games were ok, I played "Break the Spell" about 3 times, and the personallity game I play a lot. Over-all, I really like this platinum, It was nice and fresh to me because I never owned the VHS, I only saw it once in the theater when I was little. I didn't remember the movie at all, but now I love it! :)

Probably a surprise to most, I would put The Lion King in second. I really love the movie, and the bonus features seemed not that bad to me. Actually, they were pretty fun! I loved seeing the real lions, and all the music stuff was GREAT! And just like the others, the personality game was fun, too. The Safari was funny to watch and play through! And even though I don't like "Morning Report", I can watch the movie without it! I think most of the visual changes actually benifited the movie, with the small exception of the crocodiles. The other background animals in "I Just Can't Wait To Be King" look fine with their small changes, and I think the waterfalls look beautiful! :D

Even though Snow White comes outh third for me, it doesn't mean that it's bad. I think the restoration came out great, and the bonus art galleries and the mine ride are great too.

Although I haven't gotten TLK, yet, I'm positive I won't rank it as high up as B&tB and Snow White. DVD-wise Snow White is definitely the best while movie-wise for me B&tB wins.

Quite easily, Snow White. That's the best overall package Disney has ever produced -- stellar video and audio quality that made me swear it could have been made ysterday while not changing the theatrical cut (for once), as well as the most in-depth and extensive extra materials I've ever seen, outside of The Lord of the Rings Extended Editions. IMHO it's also the best at balancing out kiddie stuff and behind-the-scenes/historical docs.

Snow White was by far the best.
Heck, I even think Sleeping Beauty was done better than one or two of the Platinums we have now.

UH-HUH!! :) Snow White and the non-Platinum Sleeping Beauty seemed to do a much better job of delving into the historical aspects of their films. I voted for Snow White

I voted for Beauty and the Beast because first the DVD is better than Snow White and Lion king. Second the story was much better romantic, action and musical music.

Also the DVD has better extras and behind the scenes. :D

Beauty and The Beast.Getting three cuts was cool.Never noticed Gaston's right hand man hiding out the snow as a snowman, while Belle and Chip go to Belle's house go to check on Maurice(Belle's father).

Yeah, Sleeping Beauty is Platinum-quality and arugably the best Disney DVD since Snow White. I really don't think there's anything at all they could add to it to improve it for the eventual (HD-DVD?) Platinum release.

I also think that the 2004 SEs, especially the laserdisc-based ones, will rival Snow White and Sleeping Beauty in terms of quality (and possibly quantity) of extras, so I'm really looking forward to those.

For quality wise I vote for B&B. But snow white is an all time classic. Then again I love the lion king. But they did a terrific job with SB. So many to choose. I think I will keep them all!!! :D

Snow White hands down because it rekindled my love for animation and for the House of Mouse (not the TV show...). Great little DVD set too.

I think as a film I dig Lion King the most, followed by B &tB. B &tB had some good features, although largely fluff. LK...the less said the better...I have voiced my opinions elsewhere...

Movie-wise, "Beauty and the Beast" is my favorite... for me, it is the greates Disney movie ever. Still, "Snow White" and "The Lion King" also rank up there in my list of best Disney films.
DVD-wise, "Snow White" is the best Platinum Edition, and one of the best DVDs ever. The restoration is stunning, and the bonus features list is a mile long - and there is not one extra that I don't like.
"Beauty and the Beast" had good bonuses, even if they weren't as good as "Snow White", I still liked them a lot. Still, the picture quality was a shame... Compression artifacts everywhere. Disney should have made it a 3-disc set.
"Lion King" has an outstanding sountrack (loved the Disney Enhanced Home Theater mix) and picture quality, but the while the included extras are good, I miss what they didn't include. And I can't forgive the lack of original edition. Disney should have put an extra disc on that Gift Set box. The 2-disc set "takes you through the worldwide phenomenon of The Lion King", right? Then, the third disc would "take you back to 1994 when the movie was originally released". And there we would see the original theatrical version, the original making of and trailes and on...

I voted for "beauty and the beast" but, saying the truth i think none of these edition deserves the name "platinun" because there are a lot of more thing about the movie that they don“t include in the dvd.

I chose Beauty and the Beast because even though Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a better set, I enjoyed BATB way more than SWatSD. :D
