It's pretty far into the competition, so I'm surprised that a thread hasn't been posted here yet. So...

What do you guys think? Who do you want to win? Who were your favorite contestants? Who do you want to leave?

As for me, I'm hoping for Chris to win. I really want Taylor to go tonight (grr... ). My favorite singer this season was Mandisa, who went far to early.

Chris is going to be the winner..great singer that puts his own spin on everything. Even if he doesn't win, he will still make it..

I find the show tired and pointless, yet I adore that Taylor fellow..

Holy (add curse word here)! How the (add another curse word here) could Chris come in 4th!?!?!?!?!?! If Taylor wins this, I am seriously gonna throw up. I'm just at a loss for words as to how unexplainable it is that Chris left....and Elliot and Taylor were the top two! Does America have ears?!?!?!?!?! I guess I'm a Catherine supporter now.

I dont want Katherine to win- but she is by far the most talented so i am guessing she is going to bag this competition.

I'm mad. Although Chris was not my favorite he did not deserve to go home tonight.

Katherine should have went home tonight. I had read that Chris and Katherine would be the bottom two tonight so I wasn't shocked to see that. However I am completely shocked to see Chris gone. I thought he would win the whole thing.

I saw the finals as being Taylor and Chris with Chris winning. The finals look like it will end up Taylor and Elliot. That is unless something changes and Katherine stays in until the finals. In my opinion she was the worst last night. Sure Chris didn't do that great on his last song, but Katherine forgot the words on her 1st song and the 2nd was a complete mess.

Although I don't vote, so I guess I have nothing to complain about. I do hope that Taylor wins AI 5.

As far as Taylor, yes he is my favorite and has been for awhile. While he doesn't show it sometimes on AI he can sing. His Pre-Idol CDs In Your Time, and Under The Radar are really good in my opinion.

I can't believe Chris went home either. From the beginning he was my top pick along with Katherine. The past two weeks I've been warming up to Elliot and Taylor and was figuring that Kat would go home tonight because of polls and opinions I've seen, having Chris go was a shock. Of course every season there's a shocker like this where the one everyone thinks is gonna win or be in the top two goes home early, so I guess it's to be expected.
Kat is a great singer as is Elliot if he has the right song so I'm stuck between those two to win, Taylor is fun to watch, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't buy his album because it wouldn't be the type of music I listen to.

I can't believe he was voted off either, I thought it was going to be katharine which i didn't want to go off but then when it was chris i was pissed, i mean last week chris and katharine had the most votes, but this week the lowest, i really wanted elliot to go off this week, then taylor , and then it would be down to katharine and chris whom I both like. But any ways I have to vote like crazy for Katharine cause I will be pissed if the other 2 win, although they are both good singers I don't think they are good enough to be american idols.

Yes, I'm so glad Chris is gone! I believe many people knew what would happen if Chris won. He would go the way of hard rock/metal, and not release mainstream music.

Why was Chris Daughtry eliminated? Oh, I just can't believe it! I think he is one of those with potentials and he totally rocks!
So, Elliot, Katharine and Taylor are the final 3? I just can't believe Taylor made it this far. He can do those crazy dance moves but I think he doesn't excel in singing. There's nothing against Taylor here, just my opinions.
If I am to choose between Elliot and Katharine, I'll definitely go with the girl. She is pretty and talented...a perfect package for an American Idol.

I don't believe what I'm hearing! This is a singing competition - and Katherine is not the best. From what I've seen - she's snobby and thinks she is better than the rest of the world. I will be very upset if she wins this season. AI is about more than looks.

I think since Chris is unrightfully gone, I will now vote for Elliott like mad to try and get Kat gone.

By the way - most polling and phone tracking websites say Taylor got the most votes.

This happens every year. You figure one person is safe so you vote for your favorite out of the other people. The only way to have this not happen is to change the voting to vote for the worst and whoever gets the most votes will be eliminated. That's not going to happen though.

Well now that Chris is gone, I'm a Taylor supporter-Or I would be (see below). Katerine McPhullOfHerself is the worst contestant in the history of AI. She started out strong, but since she got in the top 12, she's become a pompous biotch. If I see that fake shock, "omg-I-can't-believe-America-was-stupid-enough-to-vote-for-me-I-should-have-left-tonight" face one more time, I might break my TV.

I now offically boycott American Idol-moreso if frickin' Kat wins.

Season three: La Toya London 4th place, Fantasia Barrino D wins
Season four: Constantine Maroulis 6th place, 5th place was Scott Savol! Bo Bice PG runner up, freaking Carrie Underwood wins!!
Season five: Chris Daughtry is 4th place. Is out ranked by Taylor Hicks and Eliot Yamin, both D and Katherine "Nanny" McPhee.

Not anyone has said anything about how they have been voting. How many of you have been watching each week and casting your vote for the one you like best?? If you don't vote you can't complain.........it is easy as that.

Chris Daughtry was the hands down favorite, but I guess his supporters didn't vote hard enough. I thought for sure that Katharine McPhee had bought the farm. You could tell that she was just as shocked as Chris was when the final vote was announced. I hope that next week spells the end for Ms. McPhee. I would like to see it be between Elliot and Taylor with Mr. Ramin winning it. He brought all his cards to the table with this past Tuesday's show.

How many of you watch the American Idol Extra show on Thursday night where they talk with the person who is voted off? The show is on at 6:30 pm Eastern on FoxRealityTV. This is really a great show because it takes place at the moment the person is voted off, and then for an hour they talk with people involved in the show along with the other contestants. These next two weeks will be very interesting.
