Prince Phillip's view on the TLK MOVIE

I just specified movie caus I might do a review of the dvd, don't know if I'll do an "oficial" one, but it will express my views, in an unbiased manor...
Well I just saw the "Special Edition" version of The Lion King with the Home Theatre Remix...
It's was great!!! IMHO The Lion King really doesn't appeal to me as much as others, but it definately is a great movie...
Now, the first thing I would like to comment on, is the changed animation...
I think it is GREAT! Personally I think the movie benefitted from it, now before you get all offended just keep reading I'll adress "disney's lie" later.
I think the crocodiles looked aweful before and now they look great, they really fit in with the song, not sur if more animation was changed from "Can't Wait to be King" but it was certainly a welcomed change for this viewer, I thought it was absolutely awesome to look at. It was a nice break from the rest of the film, and the colors and zig zags, and all were vewry cool to look at! I don't think I would have noticed ant other changes if I wasn't a member of this board, but I though the water fall was very nice, and hey it made for a nicer presentation...
Now I know you all are miffed, that Disney promissed the "Original Theatrical Cut" and did not deliver, and that upsets you and that is understandable, but if you think about it, Walt himself edited some of his works years after they hit the big screen, for example "Three Little Pigs" and "Fantasia", but they were his, and so it technically isn't considered tampering, or atleast they can still sell the stuff labeled as unedired, well that's exactly what happened with the Lion King, they saw a few things, they thought needed to be fixed and they did so, but since it is technically their film, it isn't considered wrong, as it would be with a classic such as Snow White or Sleeping Beauty... So be mad that you were "lied to" but as for the new I-Max version, just enjoy, it really is'nt that horrible, it is not as if the changed the actions of a scene, for example there was talk of Editing the swimming to the surface scene of the Little Mermaid where she has just been given legs and is nude, now that would be wrong... IMO...
As for Mourning Report, I actually, to my surprise, liked it. I mean I don't say it was phenominal, but that will be the version I watch from now on, and I think it was inserted in seemlessly, the animation was not even a bit off, and I think the voices were matched up perfectly, I think the kid singing for Simba did a great job.
I think the song was fun, it worked perfectly, and it adds something new to the film...
Now, as for the Sound and Audio, I found absolutely no quams, it was beautiful to look at, better than ever, and the sound was absolutely amazing!
Although, I don't think anyone's had a problem with that so far
Just a few things I noticed watching the movie at this point in my life...
-The first was the Simba really was a spoiled brat! I think that Mufasa's death and everything that happened afterwards was essential for Simba to become the King he eventually did...
-Also in past viewing I always found Timon and Pumba to be embarrassing when Nala comes, and thought "poor Simba", but this time I could see them as just looking out for his back, and caould see why he would want them standing by his side, as he claimed his thrown, and his rightful place, in the circle of life!
Anyway, I have nothing negetive to say in the way of the movie, or it's presentation...
