I really liked A Goofy Movie! It was hilarious, and seeing Goofy and Max, was like a dream come true! I'm kidding, but it was funny to see them again. I haven't seen it in awhile though, but since I have it, I'll probably watch it soon. Oh yeah, and welcome to the forums! Have a great time here.

I loved A Goofy Movie when I was younger. I caught a little bit of it on the Disney Channel a couple of months ago. It brought back a lot of memories and I hadn't seen it in about seven years.

Who's yer faav'rit POSSum? LESTER!

This is one of my favorite disney movies, too bad it was overshadowed by the sucess of "The Lion King" and i think it's better than the following year's "Pocahontas" but as good as the year's own "Toy Story". This movie is sooo criminally underrated that it deserves a bigger audience! anyone else thought roxanne was a babe?

It doesn't take a genius to realize that I love Goofy (look at my name). I was soooo excited when this movie came out. I saw it three times in theaters and had the soundtrack right away. Even though it's not part of the classics line, I hope it will someday be recognized as one. It's great! My favorite part is when Big Foot puts on Max's headphones and starts dancing. I wish they would bring out a better DVD release. At least clean up the print and give us the widescreen version! A featurette would be nice, but I don't expect too much from Disney.

I also like A Goofy Movie quite a bit. "On the Open Road" is an underrated gem in the Disney songbook. It's now been far too long since I've seen this, the sequel, or even the original series that inspired both. If only we could get better DVD releases of these, they'd be in my collection. We especially need an OAR release of AGM.

Goofy is easily my favourite of the "big three" Disney characters, maybe because I relate to him on some level. Make of that what you will... :p

A Goofy Movie is certainly one of those underrated gems of the Disney catalog. Although many have disliked his portrayal in the Goof Troop continuity, I still think Goofy remains Goofy regardless of what situation he is in. He has been in so many different situations over the years, especially in the "How To..." shorts, that I would literally accept him in anything. However, his role as father in this context seems to suit him the most, and the relationship he has with Max works incredibly well on screen. Touching, funny and of course, goofy.

I'm not as fond of An Extremely Goofy movie as I am of the first film, as it seems to be missing something. However, I think that the Goofy segment in Twice Upon A Christmas was easily the strongest one of that film, as it rekindles many of the issues seen in A Goofy Movie, yet with a slightly older Max. We have not seen this level of growth in any other Disney character. Mickey, as Walt discovered, couldn't change his essential happy-go-lucky mentality, and Donald can be very two-dimensional (literally!) most of the time.

At any rate, it is one of my favourites and I would certainly rebuy a SE if it was chock full of goodness.

A 1.85:1 non-anamorphic transfer is available here, and probably the UK. However, we don't get the Disney Mambo #5 video, bonus cartoons or game.

Bonafide fan here!

A Goofy Movie has been my favorite Disney move for ages - it excels in areas that so many of the later films from the 90's failed. It's story was simple yet well defined. You felt for the charachters and what they were going through, and there was some Goofy Fun along the way. Powerline's songs stuck out, they were fun and they were catchy. A well rounded movie that is sorely underappreaciated and needs more reconition as a Disney Classic.

An Extremely Goofy wasn't as good. The story was a rehah of the original, and Max came off as 1D. Sylvia was a great addition. In all, it felt like a giant ESPN infomercial.

(Max one of my absolute favorite Disney characters as well! I've got a website dedicated to Goofy and Max in the pipleline as well...)

i think a goofy movie is cool but not because of goofy i think max is more relatable to real people instead of just being funny like his dad
