Thanks for the pics! Hope it's a comedy. Oh wait, it said it was a fairytale. What's this story even about. Hope the musics will be great from Menken. Wait a second, I know the music will be great from Menken. I love Menken's music, especially from The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin. Thanks again for the pics!

I've been so excited about this project! It has a lot going for it, the hopeful return of at least some 2-D animation, Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz teamed up again ( I actually got to meet stephen schwartz a couple weeks ago at a concert he did, he's the nicest guy! I should've asked him about this movie :P) its set in NYC ( I can even see that there is part of a marquee for the new lestat musical visible in one of the pics!) and it has IDINA! I'm a huge broadway junkie if you haven't noticed lol. So hopefully all of that plus a possible princess-y storyline in a disney movie would be fabulous!!

UD's Coming To Theatres Page wrote:Enchanted - In this part-animated, part-live-action romantic fable, a wannabe princess named Giselle is banished by an evil queen from the cartoon world to present day New York. There, she must rescue herself and find true love. This project has undergone many rewrites over the past eight years but is currently progressing with Disney veteran Kevin Lima in the helm. Lima is no stranger to either medium; he began his career working on story for Oliver & Company and Aladdin, moved onto directing "Goof Troop", its big screen spin-off A Goofy Movie, and Tarzan, and most recently has been in the director's chair for live action fare including 102 Dalmatians and the two Eloise TV movies. The cast currently includes Amy Adams as Princess Giselle, Susan Sarandon as the wicked Queen Narissa, James Marsden as the Prince, and Broadway actress Idina Menzel. Former '80s icon and current "Grey's Anatomy" star Patrick Dempsey is in talks to play a single father who helps Giselle find her way around New York. The script currently in use is credited to Bill Kelly, who wrote the well-received 1999 romantic comedy Blast From the Past. While originally announced as being part CG-animation, the latest news reveals that 2-D animation will be employed for the fairy tale world scenes. This, coupled with the fact that the film is intended to feature six songs written by Stephen Schwartz (Pocahontas) and composed by Alan Menken (Aladdin, The Little Mermaid), may rightfully lead many to consider this a callback of sorts to Disney's animation renaissance of the late '80s/early '90s. Filming is set to begin in New York in April 2006, with November 2nd, 2007 being a targeted theatrical release.

those pictures don't get me excited, no animation, no cool set, just a guy in a costume. The movie could still be great though.

His sleeves look ridiculous! Animated or not!

It's nice to see though that some form of evidence of production is leaking out. Can't wait for this movie! :)

Pictures of Enchanted's Prince Edward

Well, I personally think Prince Edward's costume looks very cool! Look at the intricate, thin gold designs! The gold design is even used in the clasps for his cape! The colors are great! I even think the sleeves, though big, are perfect. Sometimes things that are a bit out of proportion look cool. I can't say a bad thing about his costume, except that it looks like his shirt has snaps for the cape, and I don't think they ever had snaps back in the times fairy tales were written...but I could be wrong.

I like the pictures. That is one Prince i'll be happy to take. Boy, is he HOT!! The costume looks weird with the big sleeves, but James makes it look good.

The story sounds very interesting, and it will be neat to see it when it's all finished.

What is it with the evil-looking puffy sleeves? At least Prince Eric never had to wear those. And yes, she does look like Ariel in that picture.

How do you know that? You don't know what Prince Eric got up to behind closed doors in the privacy of his own room. That's not our Prince Eric. But... we don't know what he get's up to either. :)

Where did you find that picture, PatrickvD? Is that really an official picture of the princess in Enchanted? Unlike the prince's costume, I don't like hers. Notice that her dress has butterflys around the neckline, just like on the cotsume for Glinda the Good Witch from The Wizard of Oz. In fact, the puffy sleeves remind me of Glinda's costume, too! I really don't like that at all. I liked the prince's big sleeves but not the princess's. And it's white! Yuck! Why would she have a costume devoid of color when her prince has a costume with so many beautiful colors?
