Just picked up Fantasia 60th Anniversary Edition DVD a few days ago. For some reason the credits don't run after Ave Maria. I checked my old VHS version and the credits run right after the last song (Ave Maria). Anyone have this on DVD that can tell me if they get the credits on theirs? Thanks.

Nope, no credits. My laserdisc has them, but it looks like they were added after the original release, so that is probably why they aren't on the DVD as it has been restored to the way it was in the original release.

Is that because the credits were printed in the booklet that was available at the roadshow showings? I know this is available on the DVD, but I can't check at the moment. Does it include the credits.

Nope, no credits for it anywhere. The ones on the laserdisc were added for the restoration. Remember that they weren't big on adding credits to the end of animated movies back then, so if there were any, they were probably printed in the program as you suggested. But I am not finding them on the DVD, I am looking now. When the movie is over, it fades to black and then goes back to the Main Menu.

Here is what the imdb says concerning the credits:

The roadshow cut shows the title card at the intermission rather than the
beginning, as on most prints. The film features no credits or title music, just the art deco title card placed at the intermission (in the roadshow cut; the 120 minute cut places it at the beginning).

Well, there you have it, no credits.

Isn't the text from the Roadshow booklet somewhere on Disc 3 of the Anthology?

Thanks for all the quick responses! Actually called Disney earlier and they said it should have included the credits and to send it back! That's why I double-checked here first. Glad I did. Thanks again to all!

If the credits are anywhere, they would have to be there because they are not on Disc One.

Well, the end credits aren't in the film because they weren't there back in 1940. And since they were trying to creat the original roadshow cut of "Fantasia", they didn't include them.
The credits were added latter, when the film was rereleased to theaters. If you have the VHS, LD or international DVDs, you'll see that the film has the credits and the blue castle and 'Fantasia" logo in the begining. That's because they were included in the 1990 release, and those editions use the 1990 print, rather than the roadshow version print which was used in the recent region 1 DVD release.
