Hi all

There is English subtitle for all Disney films DVD however I am puzzled about why there is no english subtitle on bonus discs.

I am disappointed with this as I have paid out good money like you but yet because I am deaf I cannot access bonus disc such as Bambi as I like to know how they made it etc. Plus what make it worse I have 3 deaf kids and they cannot play Disney games as no English subtitle.

What make this worse for me some of bonus DVD have German, Dutch, Spanish or French subtitle!

There is 9 millions of hearing problem in UK and around 25 millions in USA I believe so it is sad that Disney DVD cannot be bother to provide English subtitle for bonus when other companies do.

Questions if you can answer would be very grateful

Do you know if Region 1 is better with English subtitle?

Do you know who to contact about this at Disney companies in USA by email to rise this issue? (I have already contact Carol Brown in Disney UK headquarter who is responsible for DVD part but keep brushing me off with same standard answer that they will do it but that was 3 years ago and I have kept the letter as a proof!)

I really want to improve this for the sake of deaf kids

Thanks for "listening"!

Neil

Welcome to the forum, Neil! :eye: Pixar's recent reissues of Toy Story and Toy Story 2 seemed to subtitle most of the bonus features in English, Spanish, and French. That may be true of The Incredibles too - my review might have an answer. These stand out because, as you point out, they are really the exceptions to the rule. As in most other regards, Pixar seems to be one step ahead of the game.

I cannot believe Toy Story 1 and 2 have English subtitle on bonus on region 1 - there is none subtitle on that and Incredible too on region 2.

Why can't they copy it onto Region 2? Thanks for that info - what about Nemo too? and Disney cartoon film?
