It'll make a nice unbirthday gift for myself (because my birthday is on January 9 and AIW 2-Disc Set is coming out on January 27th...about a week and a half after my birthday)

i can't believe it's my unbirthday too...
I'm really looking forward to this release. Are all the LD features ported over? (ecept the audio commentary which I think will be there but not be mentioned at the press release and the cover like on lion king or sleeping beauty)
Greetings
Phil

Odd that they would put Thru the Mirror on disc 1, but the alice short of disc 2. I would have thought the short's belonged together.
The LD had 2 unused versions of the treatment shown in full storyboard mode with reconstructed soundtracks (although I don't know the length of these presentations - I doubt either was feature length). It looks like these may be missing. The "more" is frustrating, because we don't know what it is.
I'd like to see some Disneyland features.

So ... any additional word on Pocahontas and Lilo and Stitch?
These were all supposed to share that release date, but no longer do, correct?

Sounds awesome - and as I thought before, much better than The Lion King. I just hope they make the Art Galleries virtual again. Those were so cool.

Excuse me........
YES!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so freaking happy right now. I, agree, that this DVD probably has commentary and it's just being neglected in the publicity dept. like with SB and TLK. Crap, I'm happy...Now give me some cover art!!!

That's how I'm buying it, too-with my Christmas money.

I'm so glad there's no crappy teen video on this edition (yet...) and that the kiddie features 1) don't overpower the DVD and 2) actually seem mildly interesting (I'm curious to know what the Virtual Wonderland Party is like). I really hope we get virtual galleries on this DVD. The galleries can be within the Queen's hedge maze which make an interesting experience. Although there's no new "making of" featurette (as far as we know; it may just be part of the "much more" area), I'm very content with what's here. This arguably sounds better than even Sleeping Beauty's DVD. As far as I know, the only things missing from the LD are the two abandoned story treatments of the film (like 2099 said), some radio broadcasts, and live action footage. Again, for all we know the "much more" thing could include commentary, the story outlines, a new featurette, and live action footage. Even without this stuff this seems to be one heck of a DVD. And yes, I realize I'm rambling...I'm just so happy!!

YEEEEES!!!!!!
I'm so happy! I knew this DVD would rock, and it seems it wil. Could ask no more of a Platinum Edition... well, this is no Platinum, and I think I'm happy because of that! I think this "Masterpiece Collection" will be the one with the real collector's editions we were waiting for!!
Can't wait for the next editions!

Well, in the words of the old song: Oh baby, that's a what I want!
It's absolutely EVERYTHING that I want: the movie, the trailers, Alice's Wonderland, One Hour in Wonderland, Operation Wonderland... this MORE than makes up for the faux pas BVHV has been doing lately! Sold, sold and TRIPLE sold on this one and EXTREMELY pumped for it. Mix this and the four Treasures = one VERY happy Disney geek!
BTW, did I mention I want to marry the execs at BVHV for this one? Yes yes yes!!!
