Hi,

I was looking up images on Betty White over at Google at someone posted this picture...

Is this bust / statue at Disneyland or Disneyworld?

Thanks.

That's a statue at "Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame" at Disney MGM-Studios.

They also had the Golden Girls house at the "Backlot Tour" before they took it out.

I took a couple pictures of the Golden Girls house in April 2003 before it was torn down (dammit).

If only those damn spotlights weren't in the way.

Of course, the facade of the house completely mismatches the actual structure and rooms of the house as it was seen in the series. Blatantly obvious are the front doors (which look nothing like the one used on the show during scenes in the front by the door) and the garage (which is seen here in the front, and yet in the series, you get to it from the back via the kitchen.)

Robin Hood, here's a picture of the area with the head busts (though the only promient thing in this picture is the large Emmy statue.

A picture of Betty White at the Disney-MGM Studios is also one of the park's most publicized ones, it seems.

Thanks everyone! I'll check out the Disney-MGM Studios this weekend. It's too bad the Golden Girls house was torn down ( ), I wonder why they did that.

To install the new Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show... still, they had/have room to have just moved the house. Instead, they left a long, boring stretch of empty road. LMAX, which I haven't done yet, looks pretty cool, but its installation was poorly conceived in terms of the uprooting/positioning.

My understanding is that the other exterior of the house that was used for the first few seasons can still be found at one of the studio tours in LA.
