There was talk of it being made this year but so far nothing has occurred, or as far as I know that is.
Any news on whether it will be happening?

I remember reading a speculative article or post (either here at UD or somewhere else), where it'd simply be a redux of the first Mighty Ducks, though it would be Charlie that be the drunk-driver-turned-hockey-coach instead of Gordon.
Would be interesting to see, but I'd rather they kept the trilogy as is and not try and jumpstart the series again.
On the other hand...if there were a D4, maybe Disney would re-release the original 3 movies in SE's (and finally get The Mighty Ducks in anamorphic widescreen).

I love The Mighty Ducks and think it would be great to have a 4th one, but it should not be DTV either it should go to the theaters like the rest did and they should at least have emilio or Joshua reprise there role!
