So it has taken me three days to find a Cinderella with a good condition slip-case in any store. Yet everywhere I go i see tons of the Aladdin Platinum edition with the slip-case and everything. Was Aladdin made in larger production, because it doesnt seem rare at all.

Beauty and the Beast was hard to find a year after it came out, I havent seen Lion King recently, and Bambi is getting harder and harder, yet Aladdin is everywhere... shh I wish they made this many of Beauty and the Beast and Snow White

Well, I wouldn't necessarily call any DVD release from Disney "limited", in the sense that the national supply is ever in serious danger of being completely depleted. I mean, whether or not you can find a particular in-print release in stores is more dependent on how many copies each store orders, whether they have any special promotions at release that would make their initial supply be in high demand, and how quickly they act to replenish their stock before the film goes "back in the vault."

I've had trouble finding some popular in-print movies in places like Best Buy simply because they had not re-stocked. In their case I think they really try to push their online store as a place to buy DVDs and music, which is why there are special deals on there all the time.

Bottom line is, if you look hard enough, you'll fiind the movie you want somewhere. Some websites (but again, I don't recommend regular ebay for this) sell overstocked copies of movies well after they have been taken out of print. Places like Big Lots and stores that specialize in entertainment media, like Suncoast, are also good places to look.

As for Aladdin being everywhere...well, it could have just been that the stores you looked in ordered a ton of copies, the demand wasn't as high as they expected, and they mothballed the extras until they needed something to take up space on the shelves. Surprising, really, since just about everybody seems to really like Aladdin...of course, they might just be waiting for the Blu-Ray version...
