I somehow didn't even know that Eisner was getting his own talk-show (:roll:) on CNBC, but he is, and it premiered on Tuesday night. How well did it do? He got a 0.0 rating/0 share... the lowest possible rating a TV show can pull.

I'm surprised nobody was interested. Usually there's someone always interested in everything.

I heard about his show, but since it wasn't about Disney, I wasn't even going to check it out.

Why should we care about him and his show?

What does he talk about on his talk show? Does he talk about how much of a loser he is? Cuz he such a loser. That loser. Oh did I mention he's a loser?

You hit the nail on the head right there, Aaron. Surely CNBC could have done some promotion, even those who don't like Eisner might have watched the premiere episode out of curiousity. But if no one knows the show even exists, how can you expect anyone to tune in? After all, it's news to me that Eisner is even doing a show.

I thought this said "Eisner's A Fop".

The main difference here is, I can actually stand to watch Chevy Chase and Magic Johnson, whereas I just about wanted to curl up and die when I saw Eisner's mug splayed across the screen at the beginning of that Walt Disney tribute film that ran at MGM Studios a few years ago...geccchhh

I didn't even know it was premiering already. I wouldn't watch it anyway. I remember John McEnroe's short-lived talk show got 0.0 most of the time too so it's not unprecedented ratings.

Ok, I know I trashed the idea of him having a show, and I'm still a little bitter towards him... but I have to say that I've been reading the transcripts of his interviews on the website and they are actually quite interesting. Eisner seems to host the show not as Eisner the career man but as Eisner the former CEO of Disney. That means that just about all of the interviews focus on or spring from Disney discussion and he has people on, like former Imagineers, that no other talk show would. It looks like CNBC is still showing at least re-runs, if not new episodes (I can't tell), so you might want to check out the website and the next airing (which just happens to have 2 very cool guests on it!).

Has anyone else seen this? I've been DVRing it for quite some time. The show must have found an audience because it's still running new episodes for an hour just about every week. He even managed to get Danny DeVito in the wake of his disastrous "The View" appearance.

Anyways, the show is extremely interesting. Imagine any other celebrity talk show if the discussions were all rooted in Disney, and that's what you have in this show. At this point, I think that must be intentional, as Eisner goes to great lengths to connect the discussion to Disney (and his time at Disney in particular).

He tends to interrupt his guests and to be as smug as he's always been, which is a little annoying, but then the show is called "Conversations", so I think more of his own input is allowed. His hosting skills have improved and he actually manages to cover a lot of ground with some intriguing questions.

Did anybody see the recent Tim Allen interview? Some fascinating revelations about TA's history with the company and what it was like behind the scenes during the height of his "Home Improvement"/The Santa Clause/Toy Story/Don't Stand Too Close to a Naked Man era. Two highlights of the interview actually came from Tim asking Eisner questions. He tried to get him to comment on his relationship with Jeffrey Katzenberg today and Eisner completely ignored him. He also asked him if he thinks CGI films have been pushed too far and whether traditional animation would rise again as a result... Eisner's answer was very interesting (and included a swipe at <i>The Polar Express</i>' animation, which made me happy).

Disney fans, you should really check out this show!

This guy is so rich he never has to work again. I believe at one point as CEO of Disney he earned more then 400 million a year. I think he just likes the attention.

Just wanted to chime in and say that, for me, he would be a flop even with the ratings!
