i was also psyched about this preview being there, however was a little disappointed with the presentation in the clips....it all looked analog. seriously they said, "fully restored to its original brilliance", and i was like, "whatever...ok my regular dvd of it looks so much better AND is widescreen". i'm sure it will look better than they showed in the preview, and it will probably be widescreen, but when i saw the preview i was like, "yuck!". otherwise, i'm extremely excited about the type of content that could be on these discs ( i really want the whole Julie Andrews acceptance speech and announcement and stuff at the Academy Awards, and maybe her whole Disney Legends speech). it really REALLY got me in the mood to break out the old dvd and give it another use.

Very much looking forward to this, and you're absolutely right, disneyfella. Talk of restoration and the preview's in grainy Fullscreen. I'm holding onto my DVD until this is officially announced and I'm sure it will have everything from the current disc. Hopefully, they're getting lots of insight from Julie and Dick.

And Disney did their "Coming for the first time on Disney DVD" trick... meaning the first time the "Special Edition" was coming to DVD, not the film (which has already been released twice).
They did the same trick with the advertising for their Pinocchio Special Edition release in the UK "Coming to Disney DVD for the first time ever, Pinocchio the Special Edition", even though the previous Pinocchio release was still available! In fact, my local Tesco's still only has the previous release on sale now! (Plus the Special Edition is not that Special apart from the 2 "I'm No Fool" shorts).
By Disney's reasoning almost every new DVD reissue is "Coming for the first time ever to DVD".

Even price drops? "Coming for the first time ever to Disney DVD White Fang - the not quite as expensive edition".
It seems that lying (or to be kinder, purposely misleading marketing) is Disney's speciality these days. I doubt Disney ever had to resort to such cheap tricks before.

They said coming for the first time in a 2 disc Disney DVD.

It's still deliberately misleading. They should of said something like "with all new bonus materials" or something. Instead of "coming for the first time to a 2 disc Disney DVD"

I didn't see this on my TLK disc! It did not play with the other previews on the disc, George of the Jungle II, Brother Bear, The Santa Clause II, Walt Disney World Promo. Is is on the second disc? I haven't fired up the second disc yet.

"First time on"...is silly. But notice for "The Lion King", they say "First Time on DVD Ever"...because it really is its first time on DVD. Well, except for all the 'asian imports.'

Yeah! Anyway I hope they change that when they announce it on TV. Still, I was glad to hear about something new, I was getting sick of TLK trailer everywhere...
