That's So Raven and The Suite Life DVDs! - Summer 2006

Hi, Iwas going through the topics at TV.com for That's So Raven and I found this thread -
http://www.tv.com/thats-so-raven/show/8 ... /msgs.html- with a link that directs you to the That's So Raven page of the Wikipedia website. This page has listed a new That's So Raven DVD (probably the 4th DVD that has been reported about on UltimateDisney.com and TVShowsOnDVD.com, and is coming to DVD in the Summer of 2006, along with the first volume of The Suite Life Of Zach and Cody), and it is called "Wild N' Out". It includes 6 episodes, coming from all the seasons with quite a few coming from the first two seasons. Here's the info-
That's So Raven: Wild n' Out
Episodes:
"Test of Friendship*
A Dating Shame *
Extreme Corey *
Run Raven Run *
Shake, Rattle and Rae *
Special Features:
"Driving Miss Lazy"
"Raven Music Video - Some Call It Magic"
Interviews with Orlando Brown, Anneliese van der pol, and Kyle Massey.
Sounds pretty good, what with the interviews with people other than Raven (interviews with Raven appear on the second volume), and the bonus unaired episode from the latest and fourth season.(Not to mention final). My guess is that since the fourth season hasn't wrapped they want to wait longer till releasing them to DVD, and they want to test the market for a first season DVD set. Obviously they are testing it considerably, with nearly all the eps from early in the show's run. Can't wait for the cover art and official word from Disney on it and the Suite Life DVD.
In other Disney Channel news- Wikipedia has listed that both That's So Raven and Phil of the Future have had the honour of gaining a spin-off series each. They are going to be called "Raven Too", and "2121 Disney", respectively.
Raven Too will be a spin-off concerning Raven's future at college and in the fashion industry. Some sources say that only Raven is to continue into this show, other sources say that Raven, Orlando, Annaliese, Kyle and the mother( what the?...) will all be stars of this show.
2121 Disney will be a show about Phil's futuristic friends and his family's life in the future. Obviously this means that they will most probably return to the future by the end of the series, later this year. I don't think that thisone will have much of a chance on the Disney Channel, since Phil ain't as popular as other shows, but maybe they'll decide to do a 3rd season( I've heard that many fans have protested and Disney is considering it as a serious possibility)
Anyway, I can't wait for more news on all these topics and all season set for a Disney Channel shows( sorry, but I can't take it anymore!)

Kind of hard to get excited about more single-disc themed compilations from "Raven." Where are those season sets we were promised (along with "Even Stevens" and "Lizzie McGuire")?
It's easier to be enthused about the upcoming "Suite Life" DVD, even though it isn't a season set, and many of the episodes are available on iTunes, it will at least mark the show's first DVD (outside of the episode on the Christmas compilation last year).
Cool news about the spin-off shows. Raven will be setting another record, but I think the show has potential. It should at least (hopefully) break up the series' monotony. The "Phil" spin-off is surprising... will be interesting to see how that turns out, but that name has to go.

If Disney is going to continue with this format they could atleast put the episodes in order.

I agree! We need season sets!!! Also, the Raven spin-off will be neato. I was watching one of the latest episodes last night, where Raven is now working in that fashion studio and was thinking to myself that they should take the show to a new level with her having a job. What's going to happen to the Dad? I know the actor directs some of the episodes...so....?
The Phil spinoff sounds okay...but what's going to happen to Keely? Is he just going to leave her? That sucks...
But then again...it makes sense to cut her out because Alyson probably has a lot on her plate now...being a huge music star and all lol.

More news on 2121 Disney- 2121 Disney is a new Disney Channel Original Series that is about the Diffy's back in the future and Keely is coming to stay with them. This show is a spin-off to the show Phil of the Future, which is expected to end in 2006. This show will premiere late 2007 with the new hit show Raven Too(a spin-off to the hit series That's So Raven)
Cast-
Phil, Pim, Lloyd, Barbara, and Keely are suppose to return to this new show.
I agree, they should change the name to 2121 Diffeys, or something different. They shouldn't have Disney in the name at all.
Exciting news for the Suite Life of Zack and Cody DVD!-
Tipton Trouble:
Grounded on the 23rd Floor.*
Hotel Hangout*
It's a Mad Mad Hotel*
Commercial Breaks*
Boston Holiday*
"Extras"
Free Tippy *
Backstage with Dylan and Cole Sprouse *
All the eps are from season 1, with the exception of the bonus ep, which comes from the 2nd season. The backstage bonus sounds fun, but I hope that in the future more bonus features are on there, like an audio commentary on something. On a different topic, Disney has said that this series could surpass That's So Raven in popularity and episode count, as the twins have been scouted by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen to be the male faces of their empire.

***Resisting the urge to make a joke about the title, "Wild'N'Out"***
Anyways...
The POTF spin-off sound good, though I hope it means they dump Curtis (never could stand him). But it would make more sense to dump Keely, since the show would likely only hold her back from her very promising music career (being sarcastic here). But really, dump Keely, she has no place in the show if they took her to the future. For all we know, her sudden absence would change the future and the Diffys would cease to exist. I like how it's set in the future, because "futuristic family stuck in the past" can get pretty stale, and there's only so many near-misses you can watch before you tire of waiting for them to get back to 2121.
Maybe that was Disney's plan all along, announce they'll cancel POTF, with the intent of bringing it back set in 2121 (only of course, they wouldn't tell anyone about it yet), and the news of the cancellation would generate more buzz for the show. So fans would naturally flock to "2121 Disney" since it's a "return" of their show.
Then again, all this is from Wikipedia, and while it is an online encyclopedia, I'd take the news with a grain of salt for now and wait for official word from Disney or from anyone really related to the shows.
Could care less about the Raven spin-off. If it's gonna be Raven alone, they can simply call it "Raven" instead of "Raven Too". And if it's everyone but the Dad, why bother calling it a spin-off?

I think that they'd want to keep Keely, considering she's Phils love interest and a female that the tween demographic can connect with.
Yeah, I'm not sure if it's true or not, since it's on Wikipedia, but it does sound pretty true, what with Disney actually considering season sets for That's So Raven. It wiuld make sense for them to test the market with a release comprising all eps from all seasons, with no episodes from Season 1 actually released to DVD.
I think that the main characters from That's So Raven will be regular guest stars, not main characters, as they need to create a whole new show for Raven. I hope Devon will be in it.

I really love the Suite life of Zach and Cody I think it is a rioit to watch. So I am glad to see it is getting some sort of DVD treatment. Now regarding the thats So raven DVD. I really wish they would realse a box set. I mean they are on disc 4 I think thats enough of a tiral run for that show. Just bring the box set. And I would also like the suite life of Zach and Cody as box set, but one thing at a time is fine with me.
Now as for the spin off of thats so Raven. I tink it is a good idea in theory, but only if the same characters return. Personally I think thats when shows go very wrong. When all the people change. Or at least for me it is I losse intreast and find myself comparing non-stop.
Phil of the Futrue I'll admit when the show first came out I didnt care very much for it, but now in its secoand season it has grown on me. And I really dont want to see the show end. I want to see what happens next. (And now that I think about it I felt the same way about thats So raven when it first came out and now I enjoy watching it)
Hopefully the Save Phil of the Future campagin works. I think that show can do well.
