Predict 5th HP movie! [Warning: Book & Movie Spoilers]

Okay...
So they just started filming The Order of the Pheonix. I'm just wondering what scenes and/or story lines people are predicting will be cut out, emphasized, or added. Also, what scenes are people looking forward to the most?
FYI, all the pricipal cast is set to return, including Gary Oldman, who was just signed on today to reprise his role as Sirius Black. Also, the actress to portray Luna Lovegood has been chosen, and her name is Evanna Lynch. You can check out her picture on mugglenet.com. Other new characters have been cast, but I honestly cannot remember their names...lol.
As for me, I cannot wait to see more of Harry's interaction with Sirius. His presence in GoF was very disappointing. The DA scenes also have me stoked!! That was my favorite part of the book. I would also like to see more interaction between harry and Malfoy. In the books, Malfoy is a very important character. In the movies, he is treated as just another student who tries to get on Harry's nerves.
The scenes at the beginning of the book will be cut down. I forsee Harry's hearing being completly cut out. And since Harry is cut from the team from the team in the book, I don't think there will be any Quidditch in the movie...which would make two in a row without the thing we want to see the most.
Anyway, that's just me. Anyone else??
I think all the house elves will be cut out, just as in GoF. The chemistry and tension between Ron and Hermione will be amped up, as it has been in the previous three films.

It will be interesting if the Quidditch is indeed cut out, because on the HP4 DVD bonus features, Rupert talks about his playing Quidditch as the part that he is most excited about for the 5th movie.

Good point. If there is Quidditch, however, it will probably focus on Harry, like it has in all the other films...unless the director surprises us. So far, though, HP directors (save for maybe Cauron) have been pretty predictable.

I think one smooth way to handle Quidditch would be to have Harry, Fred, and George get into a fight with Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle during practice instead of after a game. That would leave the match regarding Ron's save be the sole one. They could show the beginning of it, have Harry and Hermione leave to meet Grawp, then come back after the game to see everyone celebrating.
I can see them greatly condensing the pre-Hogwarts stuff. The beginnings of all the Harry Potter films are rather rushed to get to school. We might see a quick scene at the Burrow explaining the Order of the Phoenix to come inbetween the Privet Drive attack and Harry's trial.
Kreacher may or may not be cut. It all depends on what J.K. has in store for him now that Harry is his legal owner in books 6 and 7. If he doesn't play a pivotal role in book 7, you can expect him to be cut from the film series.
The ending will probably be pumped a bit for excitement. The climax of each Harry Potter movie has been itensified somewhat on screen (final chamber being lit on fire, Harry fighting the basilisk atop Slytherin statue, Werewolf Lupin trying to attack Harry and Hermione, maze trying to eat the champions alive). The actual department of mysteries stuff is intense in the book as it is, so I can't see them upping that portion, but the scene between Voldemort and Dumbledore will probably be enhanced for dramatic effect.

Well, the hearing is going to be in the film as character's that are only in that scene have been cast.
Also, the duel between Dumbledore and Voldemort will be very epic (to Palpatine and Yoda extent). The whole fighting climax will be very epic and will the main selling point for this film. Sirius will be one of the main character's advertised.
I can't really predict what will be cut, this is because I haven't read the book for quite some time (I'll be re-reading it soon). And what I remember seems like it could fit into 2 1/2 hrs. I hope that the Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs thing is explained here. Evidence as to why this scene needs to be there is seen in GoF. Dumbledore, Harry, and Voldemort all call Pettigrew Wormtail without even questioning it, and at least Harry shouldn't know who Wormtail is.
Also, I can't wait to see the scenes with McGonagall vs. Umbridge, that scene in the book rocked!

I belive that the stuff will not see on the big screen will be the depart of Fred and George(And that is a really good part of the book)Krecher would probably be on the film, but I doubt we will see Dobby.
Refering to the DA meetings...maybe will see one or two but no more, why?because the relationship beteen Cho and Harry, I doubt they´ll cut that out.
I think that the chase on the ministery will be a little brief so they can give the epic turn to the fight between Voldy and Dumbly

I doubt Fred and George's big departure will be cut. With each successive Harry Potter film, the twins have gotten more screen time. I think we'll see them in this film with the most screentime they've ever had. What I think may be cut, though, is Trelawney's meltdown, and possibly Trelawney altogether. Do we even know if Emma Thompson's returning?
I agree with lord-of-sith that McGonagall vs. Umbridge is going to be brilliant. The scene where McGonagall interviews Harry to find out what career path he wants to take had better be in the film. The way she gradually raises her voice to the point of screaming at Umbridge as Harry slowly tries to exit the room can be utterly hilarious.

OMG!! You just ruined it for me!!!! My life is OVER!!!
::ahem::
As for the Umbridge vs. McGonagall scene, I agree that it was a great scene in the book, but if we use the same arguemnt that we implemented for Fred and George- judging by their increasing screentime in the movies- McGonagall has been getting less and less, so I'm not really positive if she will have all the scenes we want her to. As for Trelawney, I'm not sure if Emma Thompson will be returning. For HP5 info, you can check out muggelenet.com, it's the best place for anything HP. It's also the other site I visit all the time, other than this one. Anyhoo, I can see Trelawney's storyline getting cut. That means no Centaurs at all. I bet Umbridge will focus on Hagrid's incompetence and her eventual demise will be solely at the hands of Grawp, who IS in the movie, according to statements by the actors.

Its already been quoted by producer David Heyman that most centaur scenes have been filmed, including Umbridge being carried off. The actor who plays Crabbe has also said the Inquisitorial Squad is in and the OWL tests.

well...if Grap is in, TIS is in too, also the cebtaurs...yes, maybe will not see again Trelawney for now
I hope they don`t cut the Umbridge-McGonagall scene...but maybe they`ll not mention the departure of Dumbledore when they find the DA

I have a funny feeling that this is gonna be the Best Harry Potter movie in the entire series (7 will probblay change it though).
While Prisoner of Azkabn is my favorite book in the series I feel that Order of The Pheonix has something all the auidence can enjoy.
I feel that this what will be out of the book
The Beggining: Yes it will be in it but I think it will be really quick and they will take more time while they are at Hogwarts.
Quidditch- I think that it will be metioned...even though Harry left the team Ron joined it and Rupert Grint said in the Goblet of Fire DVD that he wanted them to have a quidditch scene but im sure it wuld probblay be very quick
and the only other thing i culd see is havin less classes.
I think that this movie will be oevr three hours also but not by much.

Also...Hagrid and Madame Maxime's journey might not be in the movie for time concerns...but Grawp is, so how will they rewrite the story....hmmm.
Also, I would like to know how many people are out there who would gladly sit through a 4-hour HP movie if more scenes were put in and it was closer to the book. So please post!
Also, I just watched GOF on DVD and at the end, Harry tells Dumbledore that his and Voldemort's wands connected. Dumbledore says, "Priori Incantatem" under his breath. Then we don't get an explaination of what that is. Of course, the HP fans will know, but the people who didn't read the books won't. The same thing happened in POA when Lupin all of a sudden knows that the Marauder's Map is, indeed, a map. Harry never questions it and we don't get that question answered!

Yes, this also comes into play (as I have stated above) when in GoF Harry, Dumbledore, and Voldemort all call Peter Pettigrew "Wormtail" and at least Harry shouldn't know. The audience who hasn't read the book should know that Lupin and Sirius are somehow involved with the Marauder's Map, as Lupin knows it's a map, and Sirius says "the map never lies!" And I think the audience doesn't really question what Priori Incantatem is because they probably just assume that it happens when two spells crash into each other.

But that's not what it is...it's the effect when two wands that share the same core try to battle each other. One of the wands, depending on which wand the sphere of magic hits, spits out shadows of spells it has performed.

Yes. I know this is getting off-topic but I must say, despite audiences and critics labelling the later Potter films as "better" than before, I personally think they are getting much worse.
Events happen with no explanation. The climax of GoF would confuse anybody who hadn't read the book, and important information is just ignored or side-stepped completely.
I thought GoF was a terrible adaptation of the book. All the tight-plotting, subtle and not so subtle hints and clues, and the amazing revelation at the end which cross-referenced all the clues and mysteries thrown up by the story was missing. GoF is a story which has tighter plotting and internal logic than the vast majority of critically acclaimed thrillers, and the film threw it all away and kept hitting us with less-than-subtle polyjuce references in compensation.
I was very, very disappointed. After the disappointing Azkerban and now this, I feel that, as with most things these days, the Harry Potter films are taking the path of least resistance, and dumbing themselves down.

Are you directing that towards me? Or just to everyone on here who saw the movie, but didn't read the book? Because I know what it is.
