Cool!
So after you ride Space Mountain you will be able to say you have ridden all the rides that are currently open at Disneyland right?
I've gotten to ride every ride that's currently open at Disneyland at least once. Yes, including the Pooh ride!

Ooh, I'm excited for you!
I had to ride Space Mountain solo (after dragging my girlfriend on Tower of Terror; Splash Mountain; the Sun Wheel she wasn't game to ride another thrill ride). Lots and lots of fun.
The plans for 'Rock It' Mountain - where the ride changes at night - sound excellent.
Look forward to your trip report. Photos! I want lots of photos!

I actually have not been to Disneyland in three and a half years(biggest gap since 85-92).
I have ridden the Pooh version at WDW though. Mike and Sulley will be new too as will Tower of Terror(at least at DL).
Totally bummed out there will not be an electrical parade to show my daughter.

But way back in my Disneyland Attraction Survivor, you said you rode the Pooh ride at Disneyland and said you hated it because there wasn't any bouncing(unlike the WDW version). I guess you just read that it didn't have bouncing or something?
As for the Pooh ride, it's not nearly as good as the one at Disneyland I agree, which I also don't care for(Mr. Toad was 10 trillion times better!!!).
Are you going to DCA as well? Because TOT and the new MI attraction are at DCA.
Tower of Terror at DL is fun, but not as good as the one at WDW which is at perfection.
Hey be thankful about the parade, because you'd have to go during the summer to see it, which means HECTIC crowds!
As for Monster's Inc., I haven't gone on it yet(last trip was 07/05) so tell us ALL about it!

Yes, please do!

I was there in February, but the ride broke down partway through it so I only got to partially ride and would love to hear about the rest of it...hehe. (I did take some pictures as they walked everyone out of the ride, which was kind of cool.

)

Justin - yes the comment about Winnie the Pooh was not written from teh point of view of having ridden it but I had ridden the Disney World version and the bouncing was the best part.
I also have destain for it since they took away the Bears. Loved them Bears, especially on a hot day with long lines. Cool off, watch something without waiting an hour.

Yes tell us about the Monster's Inc. Ride, They were just finishing it up when I was there in November, also let us know if they reopened The Haunted Mansion and if they did what the changes are. Anyway have a great time. I can't wait to go again, but right now it looks to be the end of 2008 when I do go.

Don't forget to get soak on Splash Mountain or let your hat fly off your head on Thunder Mountain fastest ride in the wilderness.
Say I do on the Haunted Mansion.

I won't be in the states again until 2008, so I'm in you boat, buddy. Of course, I do get to go to Hong Kong Disney this year
I hope to meet some of you in 2008, as I will be there for quite some time (4 to 8 weeks I imagine), going cross country (San Franciso, LA, Vegas, New York, Florida, Hawaii is the plan). Surely that will get me near at least ONE UD-er

(Especially if I am in two Disney parks...lol).
But, to get back on topic, yes - I want to see heaps of photos and news from the freshly remodelled DCA Backlot.
Haunted Mansion is apparently open again - while Pirates is closed for EXTENSIVE remodelling (open again in June). The changes have not yet been made, but several more closures over the year will see them phased in.

memnv - I have already read several reports about the Haunted Mansion changes and the changes were not as dramatic as the internet had rumoured. Pretty minor stuff.

The changes to the Haunted Mansion will slowly be added in during the year. Right now Madame Leota's seance room has a few new cloudy screens floating around the room but the projections of faces & figures materializing in them will not happen til a later time in the year. Al Lutz covered this in one of this updates @ MiceAge.
Pirates is closed thru June 24 to incorporate some of the characters & storyline from the upcoming sequels. Blue Bayou is closed as well during this refurbishment.
Cafe Orleans is closed & will reopen the same day. When it does, there will be a new menu & the restaurant will be full service.
Rock It Mountain (last I heard) will be previewed in June @ Grad Nites & open to the general public in July (17th ?).
Auditions for the Electrical Parade were on the 18th (last Saturday). The parade will be shoved into DCA again, starting Friday, April 7th.
The Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage is still under construction & is a bit ahead of schedule. It's official opening date is in May 2007 but there might be a soft opening as early as March 2007.
Currently the Monorail is making one way trips only from Tomorrowland to Downtown Disney and vice versa. The Monorails will close in the fall & the Tomorrowland Station will be torn down in order to build a new queue for the subs and rebuild a new loading station. The new fleet of monorails will slowly be cycled in starting spring 2007.
Aside from some painting in DCA, that's about it for the current refurbishments in Disneyland.
