Not sure if there's been a thread on this already. If there is, the mods can lock it.

I think my favorite cover-artwork has to be:

- Bambi PE (region 2)
- Bambi II (so green & shiny... )
- Lady and the Tramp PE
- The Little Mermaid PE
- Tarzan SE (the release was horrible, but the cover was purty)
- Dinosaur CE

Least Favorites

- Anything from the Gold Collection (so bland and empty :( )
- The Lion King II SE
- Lilo and Stitch 2: Stitch has as Glitch
- Beauty and the Beast PE (there's just something funky about it)
- Finding Nemo (the Turtle was great, but he didn't belong on the cover)
- Brother Bear (looks funky; especially Koda)
- Bambi PE
- Treasure Planet
- Chicken Little (I HATE the MIB reference!)

Favorite DAC Cover Art:
Dumbo AE - Sure it's plain, but it's simple like the movie and works. Besides, who else deserves front cover status besides Dumbo and Timothy?
Peter Pan SE - Like Dumbo, a fitting cover with the star of the film.
Mulan SE - Strangely, while it looks a bit messy, it seems to work.
Tarzan CE - not the crap one that's out now, but the original 2-disc set.
Atlantis CE - Gawd, it's like a cover for a truly great sci-fi epic. Too bad the movie falls flat.

Favorite Live-Action Cover Art:
Vault Disney titles - They're all really good, except for Pollyanna, which is kind of plain.
Mary Poppins GC and AE - Both are really nice, though I prefer the AE over the GC
Newsies - A big plain, but it's nice.

Least Favorite DAC Cover Art:
Sleeping Beauty SE - 'nuff said
Pocahontas AE - I thought the GC one was bad, but this one just doesn't look very...Pocahontas-y. I preferred the original VHS cover.
Hercules GC - I hate covers that have a really oversized head taking up 3/4 of the cover.

Least Favorite Live-Action Cover Art:
Bedknobs and Broomsticks - For a film that's about 85% Live-Action, the fact that the live-action characters take up less than a 1/4 of the cover is unsettling and misleading.
The Black Hole - They chose a dull picture of the Cygnus and an even duller font. Why couldn't they use the original theatrical poster logo, with the swirling words?
The Last Flight of Noah's Ark - it looks so bland and just...just horrible.
The Parent Trap SDTE - The original was fine.

Favorite DAC coverart:
- Alice in Wonderland: Masterpiece Edition (If they took the White Rabbit out of the bottom-left corner, it'd be perfect.)
- Lady & the Tramp: Platinum Edition (Face it, no matter how that scene looks, it's awesome).
- Winnie the Pooh: 25th Anniversary Edition (Simple, just like the movie. The images on it were great, too.)
- ANY of the Collector's Editions, y'know, back when Disney was all about making truly spectacular DVDs.

Favorite DTV Coverart:
- Bambi II (It's art, and you all know it)

Favorite Live-Action:
- Pirates of the Carribean & Mary Poppins: AE

Least Favorite DAC Coverart:
- Treasure Planet (The MAIN reason I want this movie to be re-released. The cover's an abomination, and every character is off-model. By the way, where's Doppler?)

L&S2 cover sucks as well.

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! I'm back!! Exam week from h-e-double hockey sticks is over!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And this is the first thread I saw that I felt inclined to say something so...

Good topic idea, btw!

Least Favorite DTV:
~ Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas (If not for the text on Mickey's santa hat, I'd love it, but alas, Disney felt the need to add it...)
~ Lilo and Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch (much too much detail)
~ Disneyland: Secrets, Stories & Magic... (The castle looks really good, but the characters should've been what's on all the 50th Anniversary merchandise rather than bland clip art. Hmm...maybe that's why its been delayed?)
~ Pocahontas II: Journey To a New World (okay, was this new world a carnival? hehe. Seriously, she looks like she just won prizes)

Favorite DTV:
~ American Legends (cover really lives up to the title! Makes me proud to be an American)
~ Return to Neverland
~ Mulan II
~ Cinderella II
~ Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas (It's like a Christmas card and the shiny ones look really cool)
~ Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers
~ Mickey's House of Villains
~ Beauty and the Beast Enchanted Christmas (I think it looks better than the original movie since it used better title artwork)

Least Favorite Live Action:
~ The Happiest Millionaire (yes, a happy Anthony Biddle is featured and indeed is the happiest millionaire, but the cover makes it look like a boring documentary)
~ The Watcher in the Woods (It makes it look like a dark movie about a little old witch in the woods)

Favorite Live Action:
~ The Muppet Show: Season One (lol, this is just TOO COOL!!!!)
~ Walt Disney World Vacation Planning DVD and CDROM (It's so fun and happy and makes you feel warm. Also the case used is pretty awesome too and quite sturdy!)
~ Walt: The Man Behind the Myth (it's so powerful in its own way)

Least Favorite DAC:
~ SLEEPING BEAUTY SE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P
~ Pocahontas 10th Anniversary Edition (the artist just went too far in making it appealing to children. Pocahontas looks like shes on happy pills, and she didn't do so well at the carnival, winning only two prizes...well at least he mother made the cover!)
~ Cinderella PE (the prince's placement is still bothering me and it doesn't even look like him!)

Favorite DAC:
~ Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs PE
~ Fantasia Anthology (the Mickey Clef looks awesome, I wanna learn it!)
~ Melody Time (it fools you into thinking its an awesome movie about Donald)
~ Peter Pan
~ Lady and the Tramp Limited Issue
~ The Sword in the Stone GC (It's a cool angle in which we are viewing him)
~ The Lion King PE
~ Mulan SE
~ Lilo and Stitch SE Region 2

My faves:
1. Fantasia Anthology: The Mickey's head/treble clef was really clever, and the beam of light coming from the orchestra? Wow. :)
2. Snow White Diamond Edition (DVD case of Blu-ray or DVD): It doesn't feel as crowded as the Blu. I like the DVD's mirror symbols as a backdrop along with the signature apple, and for the Blu-ray with DVD Case, I like the whole feel of Snow White in the center and everyone looking at her (despite some being off model).
3. Pinocchio Platinum Edition: It's very simple, yet elegant. I love the Blue Fairy looking down at everyone with that soft glow.
4. The Lion King Platinum Edition: It's very majestic and powerful. Too bad Simba isn't on Pride Rock (by himself).
5. WALL-E: Very simplistic yet epic at the same time.
6. Up Deluxe/Blu: Reminiscent of the poster, which I loved, so duh.
I'll think of others later.

Surprisingly, I really like the Peter Pan PE cover art. It gives me the whole vibe of the film, which makes me want to get the poster from DMR.

I also like the Sleeping Beauty PE cover art. It's very peaceful, with that great shade of purple. And of course, you can't beat Maleficent as a dragon on any cover art! :D
