Music Legends / Greats - Survivor Game

I imagine anyone is allowed to start a game like this (so I hope if I'm wrong, you all will bear with me). But I'd like to try and observe the same rules as the other Survivor games I've played here.

  • I list a large number of musicians/bands/artists, in proper alphabetical order (middle names are a gamble)
  • Vote in bold for who you would like to vote off, 5 nominations total per 'round'
  • I list each 'round' who gets the most votes and eliminate 5 or fewer the most popular votes for elimination
  • As the rounds get down toward the end, fewer artists will be eliminated until only 1 remains (hopefully)
  • Try to vote for the artists you have heard. If you haven't heard a certain artist - I would ask you to take the time (if you could) to check out Amazon.com's 30-second song samples of each artist's Greatest Hits compilations.
  • If I mess up, you know who to blame  (please also remember, I can't name every music legend, so some people have naturally been left off the list)

Okay, okay, I took off my Bob Dylan vote. I forgot he had big fans here. I've tried to like him and just can't, but I'll hold off on voting for him, as he was just a random pick of people I didn't mind voting against at this stage.

I hope everyone's been trying to follow one of my rules about nixing artists they've heard before... Thank you. And I've counted the switch of Bob Dylan off and Tori Amos 1 vote additional. This is the only 'round' where I'll allow switch votes, so get them in now while they're fresh.

I'm a little confused by this. What do you mean you counted it as one vote additional? All the past Survivor games have allowed switching of the votes up until the end. Not only does it make interesting, but if you don't allow it, then people will hold off on posting until the last minute and many of them will forget, resulting in only a few votes.

Should we call Parliment - P-Funk/George Clinton?
And where is the master of all funk Sly And The Family Stone?
